I'd call it a Fine, overall. The wheat stalks don't quite appear to be "all there" for a Fine, but the cheek and jawbone are still separated which would be more indicative of a VF coin.
I'll guess that ends up as a PCGS F12 if submitted. It's an F-15 detail-wise, but a couple of small nicks suggest a slight deduction is in order. The cheek and jawbone need to be much stronger to merit consideration for VF grades. Wheat stalks are also consistent with F-15.

I think it grades F15, thats a techincal grade of VF20 - a grade for the rim ding. I would'nt send it for grading as a BB would be in order for the rim ding.
"High end Fine...shot VF20...the rim ding would not keep it out of a holder."
doh: do you really think a rim problem that size would get slabbed by PCGS/NGC? I didn't think they would accept it. Have you seen others slabbed with this problem?
I'm asking because I thought that would get it bagged for sure. I may be wrong.

Normally I would think this ding would probably get the coin bagged.
But since it's a key date, it *might* get slabbed with a net grade for the damage. They don't slab them with "net grade" on the label, but for key dates and Draped Bust and Flowing Hair stuff, it's pretty apparent there is leeway for problems with a slabbed grade a bit below what the details would suggest.

Apparently the minor damage was competely ignored.
Is it really that hard to edit the original post with the new info? Well I guess it is Easter. You should have titled it, "Easter Grade hunt".
