Soooo many beautiful commems. have been posted in this thread, that you do have to wonder why this series has been dormant for so long. I think you have to be a pure collector, not concerned about quick flipping or even eventual mega-profits, to be seriously interested in collecting this series, not to mention have fairly deep pockets to obtain specimens like the ones in this thread.
I also think the lack of a "bandwagon" incentive keeps people away. Just my 2¢ worth.
SpaceMonkey, you should post that pic. of your complete set of Commem. toners once again for everyone to enjoy!
Fatman has a boatload of these beauties too.
I no longer own this Bay Bridge, but will share it for its beauty:

Wow!!! There be some lovely coins here!!! I particularly like the Commemdude's New Rochelle, Nic's CT., and Space Monkey's set. Congrats all!!!
Well, we're past the weekend, but what the hey, it seems that the thread will go on. So, here's another one. I'm not a big fan of the obverse of the design, but I really like the Mountain Lion reverse...
Yes, it is the "**** in the Dirt" Pilgrim. Although technically a sight-unseen purchase, Russ does not blow smoke when describing coins. I had confidence the coin was worthy. I was just very lucky to be online the moment he posted and I immediately pulled the trigger.
For some reason I like the commems in XF-AU. I like them better in 66 and up except for the price. I liked the look of this piece so I slabbed it - mostly just to get the pics.

I think it was his Pilgrim.
