The world’s largest coin was put on display for the first time today at Vienna's art history museum to the delight of visitors.

Members of the public gasped at the sight of the Canadian Maple Leaf which is made of 99.999% pure gold. It weighs 100 kg and is worth over a £1 million.

100kg = 3215 troy ounces = 879.00 spot = 2,825,985 smackers

and 99.999% pure..

TeleTrade auctioned one of those off last August. It failed to sell at melt which back then was $668/oz that equaled $2,240,000 including the 12% buyers fee. Currently at a spot price of $880 the coin melts at $2,829,200.
