Home now and slowly recovering

koynekwestkoynekwest Posts: 10,048 ✭✭✭✭✭
Thanks to all who posted encouraging messages concerning my aortic aneurysm. Your postings truly meant a lot to me and every little bit helps in recovery. I'm home now (best therapy of all BTW.) I feel like I've been mugged half a dozen times but I'm not complaining since the docs tell me I shouldn't be here at all-under the best of circumstances the survival rate is only around 5% for these things (mine was under about the best circumstances that could be expected-ruptured right after I went thru the CAT scan so I got to the OR immediately.) The staff at the Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital did an outstanding job and I give them the majority of the credit for my survival.

Tom-PM me if you will.

Ron

  • Take it easy Ron and Yes consider yourself like winning the Top Prize of the Lottery 10x over because like they say the survival rate of Aortic Aneurysm is just like that...like winning the lottery. Great to have you back and follow everything your team of doctors tells you to. Not everyone gets to have a Second chance Ron. God Bless!!!

    Sincerely,

My mom had this last April. At 85, she wasn't given much chance at survival. I'm glad you are also a survivor. We only get one breath at a time. No more, no less.

I was thinking about you last night and wondered if you had gotten home yet. I am very happy to find out that you are now home! A lot of people have been praying for you, and we're glad that prayer, plus good medical care, has been successful. Take your time getting well, nothing is as important as your health, so take it easy! Welcome back, my good friend!

    Ron,

Glad to hear that the recovery is going good (at least in your own home)! Let the rest of the family pamper you for awhile. Now that I think of it, while the family is pampering you, you might find the time to check your spare Kennedy for a few more varieties for Caleb image
