LOL yea, I found it sort of ironic it's price was "Cut in half" in the bargain bin!

Yep, the error occurs from impurities in the planchet stock. Okay, so actually it's the stock for making blanks and not planchets, but under the "PDS" system of error designation, it falls under "planchet."
Edited to add - By the way, if you picked that up in a bargain bin, you did just grand!
