    A 1988 Donruss common in 1?

How about for your Jordan in 10 I'll get you a 1988 Donruss common graded 1?

That is about as low as one can get.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • yeah....I would like to have that.....do you actually have that card steve?
  • WinPitcherWinPitcher Posts: 27,726 ✭✭✭
No, but for a Jordan in 10 I could get one.

    Steve
    Good for you.
  • Yeah, I just went on the POP report and saw that the lowest grade for a 1988 Donruss is a 3. I've got some pretty worthless cards but a low grade 1988 Donruss would be sweet! I'm still looking for my trade bait!
  • Or a 1991 Topps common, PSA 1. VCP shows 4 auctions with an average of -$12.96. Hehe, j/k.

Get a miscut 1988 Donruss Sam Horn, drip some red food coloring on it, let it dry, then wad it up into a ball, flatten it out, write profanity on it, then submit it and see what you get.

I was watching one of the old 88-89 era NBA highlight shows on ESPN and they showed a bird eating nuts off the floor in the arena and Marv Albert commented "Is that a Larry Bird fan or a Rory Sparrow fan?"

I'm surprised it didn't get a (SW) qualifier, as that's one of the sweatiest cards I've seen in a while...
  • TTT.....this can't be the worst card! Who has their mitts on a PSA 3 1988 Donruss card?
  • I'm still looking for a worse card........who can help me in this quest?
  • i have this... not worse but pretty pathetic

2006 Bowman Chrome Orange Refractor Chris Carpenter
  • Dang...if that was in PSA 4.....I would have to talk you out of it. I've seen some real ugly cards at shows before.....so I know there is something worse than my Rory Sparrow!

    How about these......

Honus played with Boston?? Didnt know that......

    image
    The cheaper Frank Robinson Rookie

    image
same as above..... I know 1958 Topps cards are extremely rare and many have never seen one in their life, so this is a normal mistake image

    image
graded on a day when employees brought their 3 year olds to work......

    image
The N300 has the bottom 1/4 of the card cut off.

I have 55 more scans just like these...........

Yes, the bottom edges look exactly like that in person. Kinda sad when I have to "upgrade" my PSA 9's...(bought from 4SC to boot). image

I think this just flew over my head - are you looking to trade that card for something also in bad condition?

    Not sure I understand?

  • Prscott has the right idea....but even that Ozzie Smith PSA 4 is more valuable than my Sparrow in PSA 5 condition. Stone.....I'm looking for a a less valuable card than the sparrow that I've listed at the begining. (It has to be graded) My ultimate goal is to find the biggest piece of crap for a card out there!

If you had a '66 Topps Don Mossi in PSA 10, you'd have the ugliest card of all time. In a lesser grade, wear and tear on the card would hide his true ugliness.

    I love that card.

  • My HOW #288 is graded PSA1MC. Major case of Buyer's Remorse made me get that card. I had the card in PSA5. At that time it was only the 3rd. graded at that level with non higher. I needed my roof repaired - $3500.00. Sold the card to raise money & it paid for a significant chunk of the repair bill. The hole in my set bothered me so much I got that one. Someday I'll upgrade it.

How about a 1988 Donruss PSA 1 MK on some common Expo player.....MK is likely the worse qualifier. I think that would be the blue whale card.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
  • Like I said....I don't think there is a PSA 1 of a 1988 Donruss Card. If there is....I want it!
  • The Pop report says the lowest grade '88 Donruss is a Carlton Fisk - there is one graded a PSA 3 and a Tom Glavine - there are two graded PSA 3. Good luck tracking those down!

That Ferguson might be the worst looking 6 I have ever seen!

Perk I think that Houk is kind of cool.....alot of history to that card. Looks like somebody really enjoyed that card.
  • I finished looking through my graded cards....this Rory Sparrow is the worst I've got. I would like to be the proud owner of a PSA 2 or 3 modern day common....anyone have one?

No, but I know how you could easily go about getting one.

D.Keever on eBay may have you beat....
  • Samspop.....that is great......did you get that one graded yourself? Question is: do you think that's worth less than the sparrow card?
  • samspopsamspop Posts: 1,992 ✭✭✭
Nah...after I saw your post, I took a quick look on the bay and just happened to find this one from seller "d.keever". It is a beaut!!!

    Perkdog,

Wow, that Houk is pretty beat up. If you've seen the vintage trade board, you know that I am building a poor condition 52 Topps set. I think that card would have to be upgraded even in my set.

Here is my Yogi Berra, which is might be the worst condition card in my set. I still had to pay $17 for so it doesn't fit the description of least valuable.

$3 plus shipping on ebay, before I sent it to get slabbed. I don't think BV is much more than the $3.

honestly? You must have sent one in on you latest submission if so.
  • Once a certain condition and rarity is not met, aren't they all worth the same?

Not IMO. Some players are followed more closely than others. You could have two common cards of players from the same set that would have different values?
