I just received this one yesterday. I have been looking for an example of this very scarce Henry Clay 1836 campaign medalet for over a decade. The hole is there so that a Clay supporter could have worn it.
All but two or three of the known examples of this Lincoln Civil War token are holed. To my knowledge, this is the only 1864 Lincoln campaign piece that brought up the Lincoln "rail splitter" image. By then the horrors of war had down away with much of the frivolity. Lincoln was "good for another heat" (term as president).
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Does this count as holey...but plugged
Congrats on your Ace! I played this last Monday for the first time this year. One birdie, three pars.

I had 2 holes in one last summer for a total four to date.
