Thanks Chris. I picked it up at the card show I was set up at last weekend, from the dealer I split the booth with.

Edited to add: Lee, I'll trade you the Berra for the Belle, straight up.

No plans for the 65's - except to sell off about 125 from the same lot. (Edit: Now for sale on the B/S/T board)

Barf: Those are way too well centered for you; I'll gladly replace with some miscuts if you like. image

    Nick: Darn nice.

Lee: Looks like a solid 7.

Got this in the mail today. It's the last card I needed for the 7 card Vic Janowicz Master Set.
I'm going to send it in soon. Hope It pulls a 2. You don't see this card with good centering very often.

    Jeff-Awsome Eck!

Stone-That Ripken is one of the greatest cards of the 1980's!

Lee- I've always wanted that Belle! You are so lucky!

Nothing at the card shop today except a 1981 Topps Traded setimage!

  • Here are some nice Basketball Commons to throw in the mix.

  • WOW!!!!!

Those are some great looking Basketball cards image

They look all PSA Mint 9 to me, some even Gem 10???

Congrats on those, and how did you get your hands on those beauties by the way, if you don't mind me asking of course.

    Giovanni
  • Thanks! I picked up a lot of about 200 of these on ebay and I was fortunate that when they arrived they were in great condition. Half of the cards are slightly off center side to side, but the other half were razor sharp beauties.

    << <i>Jeff-Awsome Eck! >>

The Eckersley was bought from a mail order dealer around 1989/90 if memory serves me correctly for less then $4.

<< <i>Barf: Those are way too well centered for you; I'll gladly replace with some miscuts if you like. image >>

Yeah they really don't fit with my collection very well. imageimage

Murray and Smith were in a paper bag full of 78's and 79's that I traded for back in 1990. Surprised they survived considering how the previous owner took care of them. Montana is from a set I picked up from a member on this board. Sandberg was in a star lot from eBay (think it was 150 cards) that I paid less then $5 for and the Canseco is from one of two sets I picked up from eBay as well for around $3.
  • A few cards for my next sub for the Early Wynn player set and a random old Sox team card.

    image
  • well if I can get my scanner and photobucket to cooperate today I will post some of my raw pick ups soon..

    image

  • That's a heck of a Kell! Is that a 54 Bow?

  • Its a 1954 Bowman..

Debating on going ahead and getting it graded or getting it signed then slabbed.
  • Anyone got any ideas on what this Kell or King might grade? I am thinking 7 and 7

Nice, real nice... The Mays is probably a 7 due to the left border. Any of these 3 'gonna be on the B/S/T board?
  • Mays is very nice, I think I like the Koufax better though. The centering on the Mays seems to hurt the eye appeal some, still a vey nice card.

My favorite thread, I look forward to this every Saturday. Here are three cards that have been seen here before (a RonB special) but would like them to grace the presence of this thread. image

Good to see those 64's again!

Some of the 66's may be on the BST board later this weekend. I'm rounding up some stuff to put on there and haven't decided on those just yet.

RonB, I just remembered an earlier BST that you had in which I wanted two cards. I had forgotten I did that but I can't find that thread (I think it had a 61 and a 62 card in there).

    Hey Steve,

It might've been this thread (see below) and I still have all of these except the Palmer and Yaz:

1962 Topps NL Strikeout Leaders (Koufax), NM+++, $18 delivered.

    1969 Palmer, NM++++, $20 delivered.

    1968 Kaline, NM+, $22 delivered.

1965 Yastrzemski, NM (NM/MT corners), $27 delivered. A steal at this price.

    1961 Mazeroski, EX-MT $17 delivered.

    1953 Wilhelm, VG-EX, $15 delivered.

1953 Bowman Al Rosen VG, $10 delivered.

1953 Bowman Lou Boudreau VG, $12 delivered.

$115 delivered takes the entire lot.

Click Reply, add your message and then click on the 4th button from the left above the box (the one that looks like a mountain painting). In the ensuing popup, type in the full URL (starting with http://) to the hosted jpg file. The jpg file has to be uploaded to a hosted site, either from your ISP or to a image hosting site. Hope that helps.
