Interesting USA Today Poll - note the image!

I'm curious how/why they selected SLQ for the image when they were mainly referring the the State Quarter program.

Maybe that exposed breast is a better attention getter than Helen Keller in a rocking chair. image

I guess we know why the coin market is hot.... more and more collectors. SHQ's may be the entry point... but then going to B&M's or coin shows just expands collectors horizons. Cheers, RickO

The results are overwhelmingly towards coin collectors.

  • Maybe the person that selected the SLQ was a baby boomer (like me) and he just liked the looks of it more. The SLQ does have a way of attracting your attention, and I don't even collect them but think they are very pretty. He could have picked out a full head though.

The SLQ is by far, the best looking U.S. quarter ever produced, but to show this particular coin accompanying an article on state quarters, is rather strange.
