1881 3 cent nickel Proof, MS or cleaned?

I welcome any opinions. This has detail, but almost no lustre.

Looks like someone dipped the coin out. It has AU50 details (not a Proof) but it's completely dead.

Not my series, so maybe I should not speak up....take it with a grain of salt.
I think there should be much more detail for a proof. Almost no hair strands.
MS, well, not in my opinion. I do think it's been cleaned. Sorry, hope I'm wrong.

Cleaned/dipped EF. Lots of obverse wear in the hair and on the ribbon. Looks like PVC on the bow on the reverse, too.

It is not MS, it is circulated and a business strike. There are few details on the high points of the obverse. It may have been whizzed.
