FedEx tracking shows my set shipping today and delivery on Monday.

  • Mine too! Early Christmas present from the Mint image

To check if your order has been shipped use the FedEx alternate reference tracking, just enter the nine digit order number in the big box, USA & the delivery zip code in the last two boxes. I always use it to check whether a label has been generated for an order, it will give you the tracking number and estimated delivery date.

Looking for reasonable silver lots (rolls or bars preferred). PM me with what you have.

Yep, 8 digit order number. Sometimes on the label it will show as XXXXXXXX-00X when an order has more than one shipment just enter the first eight numbers.

My order(s) are shipping Monday also. Most PO's are closing at Noon on Monday(Christmas eve) so most of us will have to deal with the temptation of opening the box on Christmas dayimage Oh the humanity of it all!!

These are being shipped Fed EX. Only Post Office Boxes have theirs shipped via the USPS registered mail automatically and it will take a couple of weeks for that to happen.

I think most post offices will be open on Monday. The The 2007 Postal holiday scedule lists Tuesday, December 25 - Christmas Day as a holiday. I plan on sending mine in for grading on Monday via Express Mail to arrive at PCGS on Wednesday image

What I meant is that by the time FedEx delivers Monday many will find their local PO's closing early so shipping overnight to PCGS may be delayed till after X-mas. All the PO's near my small hometown are closing at noon. Just a heads up.

Call FedEx on Monday with your tracking number: 1.800.GoFedEx (1.800.463.3339). They can hold the package for you to pickup or may be able to re-route the package after a delivery attempt has been made.

Even if you get your package to the post office Monday. It'll probably just sit there until Wed. and they might not offer next day service.

Why stress about it, I'll take it Wed.

I would call, could be an issue with the CC or some other problem.

Call the Mint. You've been flagged. Maybe duplicate order or a CC problem. Sometimes they just want verification that you are who you say you are.

  • So how do fill out the submission form for this issue? I have sent coins in before but never have sent an unopen box?
  • *#$*@Q#($*

The shipping address must match the billing address.

    #(*$&#(*&%$

I thought it was "per address". SO I can't buy it and have it shipped to my dad's house.

  • I think they want it unopened so they can just have a bunch going through and you won't get your own coin back, but someone elses and if there is any damaged ones or error coins, they can keep them and sell it for double or more.

It's all a big conspiracy by the grading companies so THEY get to have christmas every day and we never get one unless they decide to call something a 70.

  • Sweet! Delivery by 10:30 AM on Dec. 24th! Perfect, wait for package and then hit the road to Mom's for Christmas. Then when I get back on Wednesday I can package it up and get it out on Thursday to PCGS. Since I'm not flipping the set, I don't mind being a few days behind the rest of you guys!

Just track your package and when you are issued the tracking number just notify FedEx you will pick it up at their local facility.

One of my orders was put on hold and its in stock and reserved because I have to verify my shipping address which is different than my billing address. They are sending a post card and I have to call to verify that I have received the Post Card.

Fedex re-routing the package is exactly what I'm afraid of.

Anybody ever have Fedex lose an *expensive* US mint package?
  • CasmanCasman Posts: 3,935 ✭✭
I have, for about a year straight everything seemed to make it to the local warehouse and then poof Gone! Had to file a bunch of claims. They once even lost a giant piece of furniture for about a month, then it finally turned up, the box was all smashed up and the item had been repaired and repainted which I didn't notice until I really looked at it, very strange. Now I chase the truck down the street and won't givem the chance to getaway.

What are the coin numbers? Can you hook us up with them image
  • You guys are really beating up us FedEx guys. I will say that FedEx ground is generally a day faster than UPS. As well as accurate as possible. Errors happen. I have "thought" I have lost packages before but luckily I found them in the truck.

As far as Gold its All FedEx Express. They almost go directly from the planes to the trucks. Im not saying things cant get dropped on the runway.... But @#$# can happen as with any high volume business. For the most part most are happy with FedEx unless you happen to fall in th .5 % that they actually have a problem with. Look at FedEx's volume.

and they never get hijacked like the one in NY this morning :-)

Just saw that. Thats crazy. At least the good thing is that the truck was found saying it didn't look like anything was missing. Doubt that part though. Probably only 1 cargo van was stolen, but out of a 60 foot trailer they probably couldn't drive well.

I didn't get no Fed/ex conformation for Monday. This is bull dung.

I ordered my 2 sets at 12:04 on the first day, my #'s274706xx.

I am pretty sure I got my first 2 sets within the first 600 sold. Now it seems I am going to get some bull dung set that had been pick at random.

See this is why I don't believe in 1st Strikes. How can you really get 1st strikes, when you don't know what the Fluck the U.S mint is going to send you.

I am worried as S#1+ now, I will keep you guys posted when I get them, and what grade I get for being one of the 1st 600 people to buy the new set.
  • Mine just updated - deliver by 430 12/24.......

Good thing I wasn't hoping to turn it around to PCGS for grading same day!!!

Going to hold on to the sealed set for a little bit and see what prices do. I am hoping that they will demand a premium (more than $150) soon.

I really want to open it though - image

Don't care what it means. First Strike creates

an artificial scarcity for a coin that translates into

value. Whether you agree with it or not, it's a fact.
