<< <i>I didn't get no Fed/ex conformation for Monday. This is bull dung.

I ordered my 2 sets at 12:04 on the first day, my #'s274706xx.

I am pretty sure I got my first 2 sets within the first 600 sold. Now it seems I am going to get some bull dung set that had been pick at random.

See this is why I don't believe in 1st Strikes. How can you really get 1st strikes, when you don't know what the Fluck the U.S mint is going to send you.

I am worried as S#1+ now, I will keep you guys posted when I get them, and what grade I get for being one of the 1st 600 people to buy the new set. >>

I'm in the same boat with you. My order still says in stock and reserved and the cancel button is gone, but no fringing ship info????
PEACE! This is the first day of the rest of your life.

PCGS Fust Strike don't got Jack Schitt to do wif wen the coinz was strucked by the Mint. Iss jist a marketing gimmickree thang fer wen doze coins was shipped by the Mint, nuttin else. Since days tu coins inna dis set how do you know dat da 6 hunnerth of each coin was striked tageher and keeped tagether? I have also heard that early orders have 2 sets in a box, or a 2lb weight, versus single orders which will only be 1LB.

How in the world did you get Saturday Delivery???

Does it really say, "Out for Delivery?"
  • Yes, It is already processed through the system and is currently on the truck for delivery today

    Are you opening the box???

Please post when you get it.

Congrats....you are one of the very few receiving today.
  • I doubt that. I have orders in both PA and Fl, both states on on truck for delivery

Mine is on the truck, too, but that doesn't mean they will deliver it. I called earlier to see if I could pick it up and they told me no becuase it was scheduled for Monday (whatever that meant).

That means they are still in a container and won't be unloaded until Monday morning.

Nah, I think the barmaid slipped a wiseass pill in my Miller High Life when I warn't lookin lass nite.image Wonder if the mint would ever offer a matched and numbered set where each coin was consecutively paired in strike and striking order with the other corresponding coins in the set. Bet it would be pricey.

Thanks for sharing. Mine will remained sealed for a while. They are beautiful coins and I am glad I will have them as part of my pernament collection. One raw. One to NGC. and One to PCGS.
  • Is PCGS grading the case as well? I won't settle for two perfect coins. I want a perfect case too!image
  • Mine is going off to PCGS now. I just got it in mail. It said Monday. I heard the door.......... Yahooooooooooo. I am tempted to open but I can wait for a set of 70's.....

Do you suppose the Mint just took used "burnished" dies and reground them to make the reverse proofs or used brand new dies?

I wonder if there will be die varieties?

  • YaHaYaHa Posts: 4,220
Mine is coming today also on the update on truck and will be delivered, I will send mine into PCGS to get them slabbed.

Also anyone know the cost to have this set slabbed? Can I download a PCGS form online and PCGS will accept it. I wish someone had a submission cert to give away for a present or trade for a nice bu morgan. PM me is you do. Got to this these coins in. Thanks
  • Did pcgs decide on the coin#, could you please post the coin number.

No need worry about coin number at this point. They will take care of the new coin numbers. I'm usually one of the first submittors each time a new state quarter comes out and never have the new numbers. Just make sure your instructions are correct and you clearly note you want them labeled as First Strike, oh and pay the extra $10!
  • Got it at 12:23 today. Opened it, and they are stunningly beautiful. Not going for PCGS, going to keep these in original box and not play the 70 game, or the first strike game, or the eBay game. They are lovely just the way they are. Merry Christmas to all on the board!

Just recieved my 2 sets. Part of one box smashed. But still looks intact. The fed/ex lady said you were suppose to get these Monday after 10:30am but for some reason here they are. Way to go fed/ex that extra mile, Cudos to the U.S. Mint for shipping before Christmas.
  • 109.75 is what I got for the 2 coins. I bet PCGS is happy about thier decision on labeling these 10th anniversary.

  • Cool! Got my coins just a little while ago, now I need to go and get a box to put the other box in!
Just out of curiousity, where on the form do we mark that it should be first strike and 10th Anniversary? I'm assuming it's the variety column where this note would be placed.

    Thanks.
  • put 10th anniversary set on front page. Clearly. when you put # of cois =2 x $price. under that is add additional option put coin # and 10$ first strike next to that.

No rush at all if your keeping them. However I think everybody knows they made too many, sold too many, they are still for sale, the collector base is unsupported, and by time your wagon rolls back you'll be competing with hundreds of listings, 500+ NGC 70 Sets, sealed sets etc, with sellers racing to sell for the lowest price and no buyers...long term loser, JMHO.

I'm sending mine back after look at them. $100+ for grading and $450+ premium over spot and the rush to play musical chairs with 1,000's of these coins for a chance at a 70 grade...no thanks.

After I saw the 14,000 mintage this week these will be melt soon.

Good luck to all that can pull it off.

It's not worth the effort for me personally.
