<< <i> My ten sets were ordered late since they were "originally placed at 11:58" >>
umm.. how did you place a single order for ten sets when the limit was one?.. your posting reads in such a way that you put ten sets in the shopping cart at the same time.. how did you get away with that?.. (no.. i wouldn't have ordered ten sets if i wanted to.. $20,000.00 is too rich for my blood..) .. >>
ten different orders to ten different addresses with ten different usmint accounts. some migtht recall that i had 180 orders placed for the jefferson spouse/liberty, ALL placed within the first twenty minutes
Thanks. USMInt Order Date: 12/13/2007 at 12:07 AM Dec 21, 2007 8:34 PM Arrived at FedEx location Dec 24, 2007 11:26 AM Delivered @ my house Dec 24, 2007 Shipped to PCGS 12/27/2007 PCGS Received Now waiting for a Grade
i don't lack the computer knowledge.. but i don't have ten addresses.. (nor do i have any desire to spend $20,000.00 on these things.. hey, if a few years down the road these sets are going for five or ten grand each.. well THEN i'll kick myself black and blue.. i thought Google stock was insane when it went over $400.00/share.. that was what, a whole year ago?.. now it's well over $700.00/share..) ..
anyway.. when i was ordering the Platinum set back on 12/13/2007.. i had quite a few windows open onto The Mint's Web site flipping between them trying to get just ONE set into the shopping cart.. although The Mint usually starts sales of (anticipated) hot, limited Edition item right on the tick of the clock, this time they were a few minutes late.. the Web site was slower than frozen molasses for half an hour for me but then i'm in Calif., at home on a cable modem so who knows how many hops it had to go through to get to their Commodore=64 server.. about an hour after i finally got the order in and the confimation email showed up the Web site was as fast as greased lightning.. ya don't have to be Einstein to know there was an initial flurry of orders by folks (like me) expecting this thing to sell out quickly.. two weeks later and it still hasn't sold out ..
