Hello

I was at a coin show recently and was told this was a very knowledgeable site for the coin world.
From now through the holidays is it a good time to buy coins on ebay or sell?

Double that.

If you have knowledge on your side, it's always a good time to buy coins.
"“Those who sacrifice liberty for security/safety deserve neither.“(Benjamin Franklin)
"I only golf on days that end in 'Y'" (DE59)
You can name your price on the BST, (buy , sell & Trade) forum... That beats the crap out of ebay,... but you get little exposure. There are also no fees associated with listing your coins over there.... Just a few rules one needs to get used to, but if you have good coins... they'll get snatched up.
Just an alternative to screwyBay.com

Got a coin you really don't care for? Then that's the time to sell!
And of course, WELCOME Seatedcoins

I've been buying on eBay for a couple of years and selling for a few months. I really don't know if Christmas is a good time to find alot of deals or not. But whoever guided you to this site for coin knowledge has a clue. Just wait awhile and someone in the know will likely post the answer.
Cheers!

<< <i>Hey seated. Are you a PCGS member who hasnt posted before? If so have you heard of the quarterly submission special? Just thought I'd mention it since your name is perfect for this quarter.
Not a PCGS member, but have heard of the special. Thanks

Ah yes, that is the question......
What types were you wanting to sell on eBay?
I have become very suspicious of new seated coin members, especially since the last debacle.
This is THE site, baby. You need look nowhere else.
Sure, there are a bunch of other great coin sites.
But this is the Mac Daddy of 'em all.
Stick around awhile, kid.

I was trying to remember that ID. Is that person gone?

Gone. Nuked. Byebye.
As long as you're "seatedcoins" and not a reincarnation of "seatedlibertykeys" or whatever the demon called itself, you're more than welcome.
I likes me some Seated stuff.

Hmm.
There is also a member called "seatedcoin" who has posted a while back. The M.O. of seatedlibertykeys, seatedcoins, seatedcoin are basically all the same. A new member whose opening thread or thereabouts consists of a simple hello, along with a brief comment about something. Note also that "seatedcoins" appeared almost immediately after seatedlibertykeys has gone away.
So you're welcome here, regardless. Like you say, you shall be judged by your posts.
And even if you WERE a reincarnation of a past forum demon, as far as I'm concerned, you'd still be welcome here, if you behaved yourself.
(Assuming this past forum demon didn't rip any people off- I don't know.)
But I believe you.
Welcome, really. Sorry you had to join up and fall under suspicion through no fault of your own.
the top pops or truly exceptional pieces will always have big demand
so back to your question, I would suggest buying for a couple weeks then start selling strong
welcomel to forums,
don't take any posts as personal attacks, people from around the world have different ideas
<< <i>my experience the last few years is that the next couple weeks for generic mid-level stuff, usually takes a dip of 10-20% and then gets back to full level by January 5th

Thanks sinin 1,
I've put off selling for now, just buying. There do seem to be better deals out now.
