Well -- all of us have learned some valuable lessons in the hobby -- sorry to see someone burned on vauable cello packs. That said, teaching someone the lesson of humility is something that cannot be easily learned -- and I hope that 11235813 can turn over a new leaf and eat a slice of humble pie.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
A lot of people have said some pretty nasty things about me on this thread questioning my integrity, so I feel compelled to respond and defend my name.
I've been collecting for 31 years, primarily the 1977 Topps Mexican football set (only need six more cards), the 1971 Kellogg's baseball set (have 73 out of the 75 cards uncracked), and anything having to do with Willie McCovey. I started collecting star packs about a year ago because I think that they are interesting collectibles and these were the first packs I have ever submitted for grading. I currently have about twenty such packs in my collection, some graded, some ungraded.
Like probably 90 percent of all collectors, I did not know who Steve Hart was, and see no reason why I should have given what I collect. I've never bought anything from his company, nor had I even heard of it.
The title of my post was, as I now realize, unneccessarily hyperbolic and provocative.
I plan on continuing to post on these boards, and hope that everyone will forgive me my initial misstep and cut me a little slack in the future.
And for those of you who haven't figured it out, my username is the fibonacci sequence....
Since you are a "Master Collector", why don't you enlighten the rest of us as to who Steve Hart is....I did a Google search and came up with absolutely nothing. >>
Not to be rude but....everyone else sorta already knows.
Gotta understand alot of BS comes by here and a new user starting off by bashing the company whose house he is in......
I also think most thought you collected unopened for 30 years.
fibonacci sequence-- Whats that?
Hope you stick around and learn a few things and teach us some as well. Also Paypal me $2.25 and I can freeze everyones computer who was mean to you. See you around.
Isn't Fibonacci that Italian movie director who started making all those porn movies after WW2. I think the sequence was the order in which the actors & actresses did "stuff" to each other.

ogre (n): A person who is felt to be particularly cruel, brutish, or hideous.
Sorry to disappoint ya Rube, but I don't think Mike really meant to bring orgies into the discussion . . .

My main point was: I hope you don't think I'm turning into a board ogre and trying to tell people what they can and can't say.
