Would everyone rather see the C's play Cleveland or Washington. All year, I was terrified of facing LeBron the playoffs, but I think they are the safer option right now. Washington is a MUCH better team without Arenas, and if his knee is bothering him, that bodes well for the Wiz. Sounds silly, but it's true.
i'm thinking either right now the way they are playing, neither team can win on the road.
i really think they should re-seed and play the lowest seed left after the 1st round

I'm feeling sick right now....all the pressure on the Celtics in Game 7. No way the C's blow them out in Game 7. I will feel 100x worse if the C's lose than I did when the Pats lost the Super Bowl.
All I know is there better be some make-up calls in Game 7 for them.... the refs were brutal in the 2nd half last night. Not that is the reason why they lost, but it didn't help.
I suspect that right now the Celtics players are feeling a definite tightening in their abdominal and pelvic regions, especially Kevin Garnett (who, if I recall has never won a playoff series).
The Hawks are probably hanging loose and figure game 7 will place no pressure on them and all of the pressure on Boston.
I hope the Celtics win cause I would still like to see a Lakers-Celtics championship series, just to take a trip down memory lane.

Garnett has won a few playoff series (I think they all came in one year, though). The year they played the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals was the year he did it (2004?). McGrady has never won a playoff series...

Well, with the league's best regular season record, it IS possible for the Celtics to win it all and not win a road playoff game. And the way things are going, I think it could happen!
Well, it's now apparent - the Celtics can't win a championship with Doc Rivers coaching them. Not when Sam Cassell gets significant minutes in the 4th Quarter and kills them every time. Also, I know PJ Brown has played pretty well but Perkins kills the Cavs and he's played 16 minutes. I hate Rivers. He's ruining my May. What does Eddie House have to do to get Cassell's minutes?! ARGH!!!!!!!!
yeah their mix right now is not good. rondo got a ton of shots which is not good for the C's with the big 3, garnett had 2 point in the second half. pierce is just horrible in this series and i hope that changes, he forced a couple of bad 3's last night. but as long as we can win game 5 and keep pace winning at home, i think we can win game 6 because they are getting closer on the road. we'll see

That team wasn't playing Sam Cassell significant minutes in the 4th quarter and trusted Perkins to play 8 more minutes/game than he is in the playoffs. Rivers should be fired before game 5 and Danny should take over himself. Only Powe, Posey and House should ever even think that it's ok to get up off the bench.
Somebody has to take it to the hole occasionally - 10% less jump shots, 10% more drives.
i would say 20-25% less jumpers and more drives and dishes to the bigs- perkins-garnett-powe-pierce et al.

I havent kept up with the NBA in the last few years (at least compared to the 90's, up to Jordan retirement). But I've enjoyed these playoffs alot.
The Celtics I havent followed in a long time, but with Dick Stockton doing the call, and with KG, Pierce, Allen, Rondo. The Garden is rocking right now, I didn't think I'd see this again after Bird, McHale, Parrish. Could anyone have predicted this 5 years ago? With KG in Minnesota, Cassel in Houston, imagine that. It seems amazing how it's all come together for them.

I don't know if the Celtics are suffering from overconfidence/hubris, playoff jitters....todays game, they were within a few baskets of losing it. And Cleveland played horrible, ex Lebron.
Can you imagine losing game 7. Cleveland only had 2 guys in double figures, 14 turn overs. The Celtics have been sloppier in the playoffs than the lakers...already two game 7's.
I think the pistons are going to be a tough match. Should be a great series. I think it'll go at least 6. Probably 7. So far the playoffs have been very competitive. The best playoff series' in years, maybe the best of the '00 decade so far.

Look, I should be coaching this team - every post that I've made about the C's in the last month has been spot on...so I'm giving myself a virtual pat on the back. Now, in the next series, they'll need to play Powe more minutes because he's quicker than Brown/Perkins against Wallace/Prince who will be playing him. Perkins should have high rebound totals and Doc better play him 30 mins/game or they're in trouble...and again, if Cassell gets off the bench, I may jump off my roof - he's WAY too slow against Hamilton/Billups. I also think Big Baby would be highly ineffective (he looked horrid and I think COST them game 6 in Cleveland) so he better not get a lot of minutes either in the next series. He would be more useful against LA - although Powe would be HUGE against New Orleans. San Antonio would be a match-up nightmare for the C's. They've proven they can't defend 2 scorers at the same time (they played lousy against Washington and Atlanta this season). That would be a tough series. Let's all root for the Hornets Monday night.

very solid win. garnett and pierce need to keep taking the lion's share of the shots until ray-ray gets going. i don't understand why they leave ray in there with like 3 bench players and perkins? he has to score then and he's struggling and he forces more and more shots and i think his shot gets worse. just my thought, can't wait for game 2.
