I must profess that I am not very good on the diagnostics of this series however I would give it a MS62. I see that the key for this year in this series is the strike quality and the horn on the reverse.
Edited to correct my extreme ignorance in the grading diagnostics for this series.

MS62. According to Heritage price guide, only about $100 difference between 62 & 63. Don't know about the rest of you, but the 26D has been the most difficult for me to find.
Well, I'd like to be unique and guess something different, but my first impluse was a 62 as well, so I guess I'll be going with the majority on this one.
We all have light and dark within us. It's the part we choose to act on that defines us.
I'm guessing it was in a 63 holder and your hoping for a 64. The luster looks like it's there, but the dies used on that coin are spent and a few too many hits . Looks better in a 62 holder.

<< <i>AU53. It looks circulated to me, but they usually do and I"m usually wrong. >>
just to help everyone out, it's a mint state coin. The 26-D almost always comes very mushy.

The obverse, and reverse has a few hits, or marks, but nice overall luster.

I'd SWAG a 55 on this one.
Those dies were really worn out, weren't they?
slabed grade = ms-63
