A Lieutenant no longer....

Well...after much weeping and gnashing of teeth, we have decided to stay in the Navy. And in their infinite wisdom
, the Navy has decided to make me a Lieutenant Commander.

No hurricanes in FL this year, so much for all the false predictions of the last 2 years.

Those were the dates in which your ancestors were also promoted while in the military?
Thanks,
Chris
then all is well. My goodness, Lt Cm . Pretty soon we
will be calling you Coincaptain. Best of luck on your decision
and on the fine promotion.
Now that you have settled the big problems, when can we get
on with the auction of my Barber halves and medals?

<< <i>CoinCommander has a nice ring to it. >>
It sure does. Congratulations on your promotion! Monterey is pretty nice too.
<< <i>Nope, not HI. We are back on the mainland. Part of the deal (with the wife and the Navy) was that we would stay if they sent us back to Monterey.
I'm not complaining.

Nothing like having your wife as a negotiator.
On October 10, 1845, fifty midshipmen and seven faculty attended the first term of The United States Naval School. Five years later, the school became the United States Naval Academy.

I'm just curious. Does the Navy typically negotiate with people who are looking to leave? You mentioned that part of your deal is that you get to move back to CA. I know when people leave corporate jobs, if they're good, The Man usually makes a counter offer to get them to stay. I was not sure that the Navy did things like that, too.

Hope it is what you all wanted.
From an old bubble head to another navy man. I did six and got out you are in for the long haul and that make us all proud.
Thanks for your service
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
Congrats on the promotion!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Does this mean reassignment to California or staying in Hawaii?
ps. I'm writting this on my laptop while sitting over a turquiose lagoon in Bermuda
Congratulations and thank you for your service !!
The dates are birth dates of famous LT Commanders in naval history ?
