There would be massive hoards of circulating coins. Then, we would be forced to round all of our purchases up to the nearest dollar if paying with cash. Debit Transactions would bog down computers and crash servers all over the world. Then riots would take place because people wouldn't be able to purchase any necessities and total chaos would insue.
In other words, it wouldn't be so good. Really think about it.
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

PR and Mint sets aren't necessary either. What if they went back to just producing coins to facilitate commerce without special packaging or finishing for collectors?

The millions of circulation SHQ collectors will not have a problem if you mean NCLT by unnecessary.
Ultra-modern NCLT prices might go up and there might be more collectors for these discontinued "series."
Classic coin prices might go down if flippers that buy classics with their profits no longer have those profits.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
<< <i>and coin collecting would be looked at as a boring pastime for old coots. >>
I like it........."Old Coots collecting Outdated Moderns".........
