The collapse of the dollar, replaced by amero/euro

What happened to gold prices when the european union was formed? Did those folks lose money when their currency disappeared and was replaced by the euro? Or, did the europeans make money hand over fist when their currency was tanked and the euro was ushered in?

As most of you know, the amero (or the euro) is coming to America now thanx to the recently signed NAU and SPP.

If we're sitting at $740/oz today, and they make the dollar illegal by tomorrow, what will the gold price here do? It won't $740/ox, that's for sure. Will it just be switched over to the new currency at an equivalent as the economy continues to fall?

I really see mexico benefitting from this since they are the poorest (well, not really if you look at all the billionaires there). I see canada and america becoming more like a third world nation in the next few years.

I guess what I'm wondering is, am I going to lose value in my numismatics and bars etc.? (I live in florida fyi) I dread the coming days, I've even thought of moving to a poor US-owned nation to hopefully avoid the coming bombs, martial law, rfid implants, slavery, dictatorship, etc etc.

Or, should I stay in this country, bend over like everyone else for a bit, but end up a wealthy man because of my hidden gold goodies?

These are very serious questions that I'd really like some educated well thought answers for please. I am scared, I'll admit it. When I see gun confiscations being signed into law, free speech zones being setup everywhere, over 200 fema camps being setup (even underground ones) to hold literally millions of people, etc.. these things just scream the coming dictatorship here and a hitlerian style "country".

Ideas? Concerns?

Please and thank you! image

Actually I've been a member for about 6 years off and on. I lost my old account when they revamped there web site, so just had them create a new account. But having said that, this topic has been dissed a number of times here. I'ts not a coin question, it's a political one.

alt.usenet.kooks was established in 1993, the same year as the EU ok? Coincidence?
  • The North American Union and Security & Prosperity Partnership erased the borders with mexico and canada. For the last few years, the amero was going to be our new currency here, just like they did with the euro in europe, but, now there are a lot of talks about them (the Bilderbergers) bringing us the euro instead. Either way, america will be hurt, badly.

No tinfoil hats here people, this stuff is very real, and you can see it for yourself on the government's own websites, as well as websites like newamericancentury.org, infowars.com, ssa.gov, fema.gov, and www.dhs.gov. Check this out too:

  • Looks like the majority of the folks in this forum have no idea, that's ok, it's not a widely publicized topic, to say the least. There were a few questions that I had about 9/11 too, that were never answered in their "official 9/11 report". Things like..

    What about Building 7?
How is that never before in history has a steel bldg collapsed because of fire?
How is that the 3 buildings collapsed at freefall speed on one day, all in their own footprint?
How do you fit a 757 thru a 16ft hole? [pentagon]
Why were the windows outside that hole still intact? Where did the wings go? The turbines?
Why was all the wreckage tarped and hauled off in a matter of hours?
Have you ever seen the size of a 757?
Why did we illegally go into Iraq? We have over 33 bases there now..
Why are we now going after Iran's oil and nuke production?

The terrorists aren't who you think they are.

I'm surprised that even the NAU and SPP were foreign to you gold folks. I thought most gold people were survivalists, true wealth, freedom loving people. I only see 3 or 4 people here that are "in the know" or at least curious.. I applaud you folks. I also highly recommend those of you who know nothing about this stuff to at least research it on google (or email me). It's very easy to find the individual articles on rfid implants, police state, coming martial law, executive orders out the wazoo, nau, spp, bilderbergers, pnac, etc. Also check out jonesreport.com, i use that site as a portal for cnn, cnbc, reuters, ap, and other news articles. The actual "links" you want are all right there. Watch the google video called "outfoxed" sometime, or "terrorstorm".

Well, at least you've got gold. I hope you also have guns, some food reserves, water collection/purification and storage, etc. The next year and a half is going to be ugly. China is pulling out, the dollar is being unpegged, bush just secretly signed off on another 900+ billion... The Depression of the 30's was nothing. I was really hoping someone could have at least answered my question here, I guess I'll try a different forum, sorry to bother you folks, thanx anyway image

So you really are one of these conspiracy theorists. Building 7? Diesel fuel lines that feed generators in the basement were damaged and ruptured from the towers' collapse and fed the fire in building 7, and there was no attempt made to save 7 because of the dangers.

<< <i>How is that never before in history has a steel bldg collapsed because of fire? >>

Because no building on fire was ever fueled by jet fuel! And it's only relatively recent history that buildings have been made of steel.

<< <i>How is that the 3 buildings collapsed at freefall speed on one day, all in their own footprint? >>

Ever make a house of cards? Did you expect them to tip over like a tree coming down? And the damage did in fact go beyond their footprint, see building 7.

    << <i>How do you fit a 757 thru a 16ft hole? [pentagon] >>

Uneducated people, and freaks, think an aluminum jet will poke a plane shaped hole when in fact the aircraft vaporized into a molten ball, because if the high spped it was traveling, and like I said, it is made of aluminum!, and this molten ball of energy caused the hole you refer to, which actually was several rings inside the Pentagon. The hole on the outside was clearly larger than 16 feet, you fr3ak.

<< <i>Why were the windows outside that hole still intact? Where did the wings go? The turbines? >>

The wings?! Are you fvcking kidding me? I'm losing my patience. The wings were vaporized you tool! Plenty of windows were blown out and lets not overlook that side of the Pentagon went through millions in improvements, the kind to withstand bombings.

<< <i>Why was all the wreckage tarped and hauled off in a matter of hours? >>

What do you expect them to do? Leave it there for days? This was the Pentagon that was hit!

    << <i>Have you ever seen the size of a 757? >>

Uh, yeah! Still smaller than a 747. What's your point?

So I say, nows the time!!! Bring it on. We need canada's oil and gas reserves and Mexico's cheap labor. Mexico City can be the "New Detroit", we can turn Van Couver into Refinery Hell, god knows we need the capacity, right..

It is a good link, just avoid the myth vs. facts section. Here's a sample of the kind of info that can be found there--

Myth: The SPP is a movement to merge the United States, Mexico, and Canada into a North American Union and establish a common currency.

Fact: The cooperative efforts under the SPP, which can be found in detail at www.spp.gov, seek to make the United States, Canada and Mexico open to legitimate trade and closed to terrorism and crime. It does not change our courts or legislative processes and respects the sovereignty of the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The SPP in no way, shape or form considers the creation of a European Union-like structure or a common currency. The SPP does not attempt to modify our sovereignty or currency or change the American system of government designed by our Founding Fathers.

Well let's see if I can answer some of your questions.

What happened to gold prices when the european union was formed?
The EU started in 1957 with 6 nations. Today it has 27, with Bulgaria and Romania joining in 2007.
    image
During the period 1957 to 2007, gold prices rose as shown in this graph from $34.95 per ounce to todays figure of about $730 per ounce.
    image

Did those folks lose money when their currency disappeared and was replaced by the euro? Or, did the europeans make money hand over fist when their currency was tanked and the euro was ushered in?
The euro first came into being in 1999, only in electronic transactions, and became legal tender in 2002. No one's currency was tanked. Fixed exchange rates to the euro were determined and set. So since there were computed fixed exchange rates, I don't see people making money had over fist. And since gold is priced in dollars, it's price is relative to the strength or weakness of the dollar. Although gold has risen lately, the dollar has fallen against the euro, so the price of gold in euros has changed less than in dollars.

they make the dollar illegal by tomorrow, what will the gold price here do? It won't $740/ox, that's for sure.
Tommorrow will be here in a few hours. The dollar will still be legal. I guess if there were no dollars, gold could no longer be priced in dollars.

I guess from here your questions get really out there as there are so many built in assumptions like
    - as the economy continues to fall
    - bombs, martial law, RFID implants, slavery, doctatorship (Where on Earth did you get this?)
    - 200 fema camps

Ideas? Concerns? Only about the poster.

When the euro came into play, no one lost money. It became an equivalent. In orderwords, X French Francs = 100 euro, Y Danish Kroner = 100 euro, and Z German Deutchmarks = 100 euro. The same way as X French Francs = Y Danish Kroner = Z German Deutchmarks if you were traveling on vacation and needed to convert money.

As far as the price of gold, I have no clue how that changed.

Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP):
    Myth vs. Fact
Myth: The SPP was an agreement signed by Presidents Bush and his Mexican and Canadian counterparts in Waco, TX, on March 23, 2005.

Fact: The SPP is a dialogue to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries. The SPP is not an agreement nor is it a treaty. In fact, no agreement was ever signed.

Myth: The SPP is being undertaken without the knowledge of the U.S. Congress.

Fact: U.S. agencies involved with SPP regularly update and consult with members of Congress on our efforts and plans.

Myth: The SPP infringes on the sovereignty of the United States.

Fact: The SPP respects and leaves the unique cultural and legal framework of each of the three countries intact. Nothing in the SPP undermines the U.S. Constitution. In no way does the SPP infringe upon the sovereignty of the United States.

Myth: The SPP is illegal and violates the Constitution.

Fact: The SPP is legal and in no way violates the Constitution or affects the legal authorities of the participating executive agencies. Indeed, the SPP is an opportunity for the governments of the United States, Canada, and Mexico to discuss common goals and identify ways to enhance each nationfs security and prosperity. If an action is identified, U.S. federal agencies can only operate within U.S. law to address these issues. The Departments of Commerce and Homeland Security coordinate the efforts of the agencies responsible for the various initiatives under the prosperity and security pillars of the SPP. If an agency were to decide a regulatory change is desirable through the cooperative efforts of SPP, that agency is required to conform to all existing U.S. laws and administrative procedures, including an opportunity to comment.

Myth: The U.S section of the SPP is headed by the Department of Commerce.

Fact: The SPP is a White House-driven initiative. In the United States, the Department of Commerce coordinates the eProsperityf component, while the Department of Homeland Security coordinates the eSecurityf component. The Department of State ensures the two components are coordinated and are consistent with U.S. foreign policy.

Myth: The U.S. Government, working though the SPP, has a secret plan to build a "NAFTA Super Highway."

Fact: The U.S. government is not planning a NAFTA Super Highway. The U.S. government does not have the authority to designate any highway as a NAFTA Super Highway, nor has it sought such authority, nor is it planning to seek such authority. There are private and state level interests planning highway projects which they themselves describe as "NAFTA Corridors," but these are not Federally-driven initiatives, and they are not a part of the SPP.

Myth: The U.S. Government, through the Department of Transportation, is funding secretive highway projects to become part of a gNAFTA Super Highwayh.

Fact: Many States in the American Midwest are proposing or undertaking highway projects to improve or build roads as Federal-aid and State or private sector revenue becomes available. All projects involving Federal-aid funds or approvals are subject to normal Federal-aid requirements, such as review under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), including public involvement. This public involvement, the common thread among all these activities, makes them anything but gsecret.h In addition, Congress directs Department of Transportation funding for specific highway projects.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will continue to cooperate with the State transportation departments as they build and upgrade highways to meet the needs of the 21st century. Rather than evidence of a secret plan to create a NAFTA Super Highway that would undermine our national sovereignty, the FHWAfs efforts are a routine part of cooperation with all the State transportation departments to improve the Nationfs highways.

Myth: U.S. Government officials sponsored a secret SPP planning meeting in Banff, Alberta in September 2006.

Fact: The U.S. Government did not sponsor the meeting in Banff. The North American Forum, a private initiative that is separate from the U.S. Government, hosted the September 12-14, 2006 conference gContinental Prosperity in the New Security Environment.h Academics, businesspersons, private citizens, and government officials from the U.S., Mexican, and Canadian governments attended the conference. The North American Forum is not a product of the SPP.

Myth: The SPP will cost U.S. taxpayers money.

Fact: The SPP is being implemented with existing budget resources. Over the long-term, it will save U.S. taxpayers money by cutting through costly red tape and reducing redundant paperwork. This initiative will benefit the taxpayers through economic gain and increased security, thereby enhancing the competitiveness and quality of life in our countries.

Myth: The working groups and SPP documents are a secret and not available to the public.

Fact: The SPPfs initiatives and milestones with timelines can be found by clicking the Report to Leaders link at www.spp.gov. The Web site contains a section to enable interested persons to provide input directly to the various working groups.

Myth: The SPP seeks to lower U.S. standards through a regulatory cooperation framework.

Fact: The framework will support and enhance cooperation and encourage the compatibility of regulations among the three partners while maintaining high standards of health and safety. Actually, the Ameros have already been printed and minted and are ready to go. They're all being stored in Area 51 just waiting for the green light.

After glancing on the "about Ken" page, in a real sense I feel sorry for him. What would it be like to live with so many concerns that almost everyone else dismisses as nonsense (which I strongly believe is the accurate characterization). I expect that Ken is worried and perhaps angry most of the time and that's sad. On the other hand, I also expect there are plenty more suitable forums for him to post in than these PCGS boards...
