To slab or not to slab, that is the question....

Yes, another Jefferson spouse thread. (we didn't have one on the first page)

So, many of us are receiving our coins today. What will you be doing?

  • For now, I'll keep it in the box. I don't think it's worth $90 to slab it, so I'll sit and watch and if they go to moon money, I'll sell it. For now, I'm just going to hold it.

Did not, and will not buy one... Cheers, RickO
  • I expect I will like the original mint packaging. I voted show me the results because I haven't decided yet what I will do. If I think I have a 70 I will send it in. If prices explode for certified coin I will send it in. If unopened packages explode in price I may or may not have opened mine yet. I may keep one and sell one or I may sell both. image
  • $90 to slab it? How do you arrive at $90?

    Yeah...same question I have....

I have my 2. My mom has 2. 2 of my friends bought 2 each.
I've counciled everyone to NOT open the packaging....I just haven't decided if it is sell right away or to submit for slabbing....I hate these decisions image

I was under the impression that you had to submit a minimum of 5 coins for the $30 level...Did PCGS change that requirement?

Nope...he is right. You are thinking economy (and that is $18 and non-gold).
For these, you can do REGULAR $30 15 days $3,000 (World - $5,000)
You can also do the express for $50 each and 5 days.

For a measly additional $20, I'd spring for the Express.

Waiting is the hardest part. So why do it.
