The box has about 30 GI Joe figures and about 20 original Star Wars figures as well as several others from the 1980s. There are also a couple of loose hot wheels and weapons and stuff for the figures./

  • Sell them and buy a new picnic table ha ha....John
  • LOL.. Its nice to be the only Garage Sale surfer locally that knows about old toys, games and comics. There is an Estate auction Saturday. I knew the guy and he was a local known hoarder of old toys, comics, sportscards. I am just chomping at the bit to see this stuff.

Ever watch the movie Comic Book Villians? He was that type of collector.

There is indeed a Masterpiece Meggy, but they never released him in the US and I'm not willing to shell out $200 for the Japanese one (which might be intercepted by customs anyway, because it TOTALLY looks like a real gun in gun mode).

Buuuuut, Masterpiece Starscream goes on sale at Wal-Mart soon.... hrmmmm.

  • I used to have that Gi Joe airplane as a kid !! My brother had one as well. We would expand the wings and the plane doubled as a gun and the turret type gun from my Star Wars Imperial Snow base was my backup weapon. I went to a antiques store the other day (I rarelt ever do) and found a old barn toy I used to have as a kid. Almost paid the $20 for it.

  • DUDE! That stuff looks like it came from my house. It didn't though. If my parents sold that stuff I'd be so pissed. Nice find by the way.

I love Tag sales and Garage sales and Estate sales !!

A lot of times a person passes away and the people just don't know what the stuff they are selling is worth , they just price it by age I suppose .

There is a lot of gold out there if you look hard .

I am going to 3 tag sales this weekend , they advertised in the paper , so I will be there bright and early , I called them to see if I would be able to see the stuff , but none of them would bend an inch , I'll have to wait like everyone else , I figured I could be the ealry bird , but no dice .
  • My sleep on a Saturday morning is far more valuable than anything I would find at one of those sales

  • The GIJOE F-18 brought back memories. Thanks!

  • I actually saw an old Creepy Crawlers set the other day at a sale, but it was in another buyers hands. Was suprised to see it there as there are very few buyers of those type items at the local sales. Guess it brought back memories

The Which Witch is actually the second time I have found that game. I wish the other had had the box this one has. That box was barely staying together. It sold for 45.00 dollars though. Still looking for my first copy of Dark Tower.

I am about to start sorting the figures out and IDing some of the lesser known Transformers in the lot.

Wow, I would have loved that Creepy Crawlers set. I live right outside of Phila., PA. and it seems the only things people have are junky dollar store items and they want an arm and a leg for them.

Does anybody remember Camp Granada? I used to love that game.

This is really bringing backs memories of a great childhood. I am starting to think of other games I liked and have not thoght about in years.

    How about The Green Ghost?

  • I do remember Green Ghost. What was the one where you were playing against a vampire or something like that seems like he would bite your finger or something.
  • Ka-Bala
  • Ka-bala is not the one I am thinking of, but looks like one I woudl have loved as a kid.. The one I was thinking of was Dracula: I want to Bite your Finger.
  • Just noticed the green Gi Joe Motorcycle in the box as well. Had that too.

  • Yeah its in there, just wish the other half was in there. There is a straight arm Cobra Commander as well. About to start going through them soon to try to ID them all
  • Yeah I was going to mention that. The gun if I remember right. I think I saw a Storm shadow in there and a Luke on top as well. All that for $25 ? Wow.
    imageimageimage
  • She had the figures in the box marker 25 cents each I asked how much for the box. I was gonna offer 20.00 for the box alone. She came back with is 5.00 too much. The larger stuff was individually marked the highest was the Prime for 4.00.

There is a Storm Shadow if you look below him there is a Snake Eyes as well. That is the Luke Jedi Knight figure from ROTJ. There is a Fett from ESB in there. There is an 88 SLU of Clemens and Kirk Gibson in there as well.

Wife says I have been playing with them long enough I need to go to bed.. LOL..

I don't think these estate sales are a waste of time or money .

You just have to find the right house .

If you're looking in Wyandanch , you're probably not going to find much .

But if you're looking in Sands point or Glen Cove , or Upper Brookville here on Long Island you have a great chance of finding some really beautiful stuff , not to mention the stuff that gets thrown away because the people just want the house cleaned out so they can sell it , they sometimes have no idea what they are throwing away .

I found a 1951 Yankees team signed baseball in a Moet box that was thrown away , I just an old tennis racket in the garbage , so I went to pick it out of there , then I saw the box of champagne , I opened it up and there it was a 1951 team signed NY Yankee baseball , I took it to one memorabilia shop and he said it is probably a facsimile baseball, but he would give me 200 for it , I had JSA take a look at it and they authenticated the baseball , all the signatures were legit , no clubhouse sigs .

I knew right away that the ball was legit and I also knew right away this guy that offered me 200 was trying to get over on me .

    What a shame right ?
