Just finished reading the thread. A very unrewarding experience. Having read the thread I now know:
1. Some people will exchange 44 private messages to figure out the details of a $10 coin trade; 2. Some people will take 100 pm's back and forth for one Washington Silver quarter and then say the other guy has mental issues; and 3. Flether and Russ don't get along.
Having spent the time reading this thread searching for even a scintilla of something positive, I can only think of the classic movie Caddyshack and, the immortal words of Maggie O'Hooligan who thinks she's pregnant, to Danny Noonan who offers to marry her ....'Tanks for nuttin!'

<< <i>OK, I was not going to post this until after he had a chance to respond, but after reading some old threads and comments by others I am telling all.
I responded to a post on the BST forum by Phillster. He needed some circulated coins, and I had quite a few Lincoln Wheats that he needed. So we worked out a deal. I sent him 44 Lincoln Wheats in AG and G that he needed. It took me an hour or so to look thru the random wheats I have to get the dates. And he was to send me 2 Franklins one in VF and one in XF. A 2006D nickel, and any random silver Washington. The Franklins came G at best, the 2006D nickel had a bunch of sticky stuff on it and the silver Washington was not even there. Please see PM I sent him earlier today. He has yet to respond.
I know others have had problems with him. Please let me and others know if you agree with me.
Phil,
I recevied the coins today in the mail.
I have to say that I am very disappointed. The Franklins "1954 (VF20) and 1952D (EF40)" are not even close to what you described. The 54 is G4 at best. In order for a Franklin to be VF20 at least half of the lower and upper incused bell lines on the rim of the bell must show. The lines are not even there. There is no detail to the bell at all, it is completely worn flat. The 52D is G4 at best as well. In order for a Frankllin to be EF40 there will be just a little wear on the curls of Franklin and the reverse the Liberty Bell will show just a touch of wear at the top of the bell. Again the curls on the obverse of the coin show a lot of wear, and the bell on the reverse is completely worn flat.
The 2006D Jefferson has a big glob of green sticky stuff on it, and the silver Washington quarter was not even in the envelope.
The way I see it is that you sent me about $3.00 worth of coins sent regular mail for 58 cents. Do you think this is fair for the almost full roll of Wheat cents I sent you? Wheat cents I picked thru to get you the dates you wanted, Wheat cents worth about $10.00, and shipping of about $9.00. Do you really think that is fair? My $19.00 vs. your $3.58?
I fully expect that you will make this right? Please PM me back and let me know your intentions on this complaint that I have.

After several more PMs, Phillster finally made it right with me. He said he was wrong and made a mistake and made it right. He sent me the silver quarter that was suppose to be there to begin with, as well as a uncirculated ID state quarter for the trouble.

Phil,
I recevied the coins today in the mail.

If you let the board know his address someone might be able to swing by and find out what's up? >>

<< <i>After several more PMs, Phillster finally made it right with me. He said he was wrong and made a mistake and made it right. He sent me the silver quarter that was suppose to be there to begin with, as well as a uncirculated ID state quarter for the trouble. >>
Excellent news! I hate to see someone get royally screwed like that. Thanks for the update
