OK, This is the answer, Hong Kong Post issued a big minisheet at the same time. they issued a big envelope for this big minisheet. That's why the complete set FDC looks very empty.
Lithuania The Highest State Awards of the Baltic Countries Minisheet FDC (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania Joint Issue)
It's interesting. The single stamp's denomination is 7Lt, but the Lithuania Award stamp on the miniature sheet's denomination is 5Lt. That¡¯s meaning, the same design has two different denominations.
Because I didn't get the official information brochure of this set and only Turkish name on each stamp, I don't know what are depicted on this set. What'a pity!
Why do I show 2 FDCs for this issue? Because one of FDC was sent from Tallinn (Capital of Estonia) and one of FDC was sent from Viljandi (County Town of Viljandi). Eesti Post used 2 differnt special cancellations in these 2 cities. I got all of them. Bravo!!
I only know these traditional amulets are very famous in Thailand. But I don't know what's meaning of these amulets. Anyway, it's a marvellous issue, they use relief printing on this issue.
My friend used 4 different special cancellations to cancel this sheet. Thailand Post Office often uses several special cancellations on one issue, you could see the best example on my next Thailand update.
This issue was really issued in time, Eesti Post had changed their International Priority Mail's tariff (up to 50g) since 1st April, 2008, it from 8.00 Kroons to 9.00 Kroons. But it's really interesting, they reduced the registered fee at the same time, from 14.00 Kroons to 13.00 Kroons. In this case, if you send a registered letter, the postage is as usual.
Thailand Heritage Conservation Day 2008 Minisheet FDC
Do you think its necessary that Thai Post(not only Thai Post, but also other Postal Administration) often issues stamps and miniature sheet at the same time?
I think the Nakhon Si Thammarat emblem is the most interest emblem in these 5 provincial emblems. you could see 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac circle on the emblem. If you collect Chinese New Year theme, I think you should never miss this stamp.
This is the 2nd update for this issue. Actually, these pre-cancelled official FDCs are very interesting. Could you find? All of the right stamps on these FDCs were not cancelled. lol
This is a good sample to show how many special cancellations were used on issue day in Thailand. You could find 9 different special cancellations on this FDC, actually, they used 10 different special cancellations, but my friend missed one of them.
I think the stamp depicts a male black grouse, and the illustration of FDC depicts a female black grouse. I'm not an avian expert, but I think male is always more beautiful than female in the nature.
This is my first real posted FDC from Africa. I like it very much not only these players should be respected and remembered but also Algeria Post uses a suitable S/S to depict this issue. It's difficult to depict all of players on the stamps, but for a S/S, it becomes easy.
Lithuania Post issues some beautiful series stamps every year, this is the first set in 2008. I like this FDC, Lithuania Post didn't rip off the beautiful coupons from the sheetlet.
"Philately Week" is a regular series in every year. Japan Post always uses traditional painting for this series, and it is always depicts an animal which is the main role animal of China Lunar Zodiac in this year. Obviously, you could find a rat on this set.
Malaysia Post issued 7 single stamps for this issue. but the other 3 stamps are only in booklet. what a pity my friend didn't get the booklet on issue day, so I couldn't get the complete set FDC.
I don't know why my friend added a Ls 1 definitive stamp on this FDC but hadn't cancelled. If my friend sent this FDC as a 21 grams registered mail, he should add Ls 2 definitive stamps. If he sent this FDC as a 20 grams registered mail, this FDC's postage had overpaid.
This is my first real posted FDC from Israel, and this is a very typical Israeli issue, the stamp in this souvenir sheet is perforated in the unique shape of the Star of David which is a generally recognized symbol of Jewish identity and Judaism.
It has a very big mistake on this stamp, the text on one of stamp is "ABDELHAMID BENHADDOUGA (1925-1996)", but the portrait on this stamp is the other Algerian writer - Mohammed Dib. I think Algeria Post should withdraw this mistaken stamp.
This is an inland stamp without denomination, but it's very strange that this stamp's value couldn't be used in the international mail, so my friend and me wasted 1.55 New Israel Sheqel.

Algeria Writers FDC
It has a very big mistake on this stamp, the text on one of stamp is "ABDELHAMID BENHADDOUGA (1925-1996)", but the portrait on this stamp is the other Algerian writer - Mohammed Dib. I think Algeria Post should withdraw this mistaken stamp.

Israel Sabra FDC
This is an inland stamp without denomination, but it's very strange that this stamp's value couldn't be used in the international mail, so my friend and me wasted 1.55 New Israel Sheqel.
