It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Many years ago, my father sold some old currency (large U.S. bills that some foreign relatives somehow acquired decades earlier before they came to the States & held onto them) to legendary dealer Abner Kreisberg. Turns out that my dentist is Kreisberg's nephew.

I actually talked to that nasty piece of work years ago. I was working as a head hunter specializing in hotel management, and I used to make it a practice to try and get through to CEO's and Presidents of companies. I enjoyed the challenge of getting through the legions of people they have protecting them, and used all kinds of ploys to do so. I got through to her one day.

She answers the phone and I said, "Hi Leona, my name is...". She cut me off, and shouted, "I didn't give you permission to call me Leona!" and hung up on me. image

Interestingly, when I got through to Harry Mullikin who was Chairman of Westin Hotels at the time, it was the opposite experience. A great conversation with a very nice guy.

I live and work in Hollywood and I am friends with many 'famous' people - no big deal, its just sort of what happens when you stick around this place long enough, and I don't really care to drop names. I routinely give coins as gifts - does giving coins to famous people count?

In fact, I have a wedding to go to this weekend (two well-known musicians) that I would like to track down a 2007 something or other for. If anyone has a 2007 1/10 Oz. or 1/4 Oz. gold in the LA area please send me a PM.

Does it have to be a coin?
