Got my proof's today and decided to take some pictures to see if its worth submitting. I decided to try different settings on my camera and thought if I tried it on black and white setting I might be able to see how close it was to PF70. Anyways, It actually came out looking as if it was silver!

  • I like the top ones better. image The difference between a 70 and 69 proof is often very subtle and I don't think anyone would be able to tell the difference from a photo of an encapsulated coin. This is also why the TPG's will not crossover a 70 since they must remove the coin from the holder to be able to examin it.

Coinsarefun...I also received mine today. Take a close look, at an angle, of your reverse. I did on mine & spoted several "pin holes" not visible unless magnified. The obverse was flawless, but the reverse will prevent mine from being a 70. (BTW submitted mine today to PCGS)

The only way I can see or appreciate them is to look with a loupe. But I will say this. Either I am very lucky for a change or I am getting even worse eyesight but I do not see any pinholes on reverse or obverse, fields look clear.
