Love those Balboas!!

This is probably one of my new favorites for an attractive, low priced, large coin. Just scored these on the 'bay recently.

I know the 47 is a common date, but how bout the '53? Supposedly the mintage that year was only 50,000? It only cost me about $3 more than the 47.

Got any balboa images you'd like to share? I'd like to see 'em!

I had an opportunity to buy a roll of silver Balboas, forget the date, but I passed on them.

I always wondered what it would look like if a walking liberty half walked into the reverse of a mercury dime. Now I know!

    Hey, that's pretty astute! image

I never thought of it that way, but I probably will, from now on.
