Done. I switched my ISP and they went away. That was a lot of work finding everything. I believe I have the same ones up in the right order as when I originally posted this thread. Enjoy!

I picked this up at the winter FUN show through Sheridan Downey. The coin was part of the R.E. Cox collection that was auctioned-off by Stacks in 1962.
This is one of two known that retains Cox's custom sturdy cardboard holder made by Art Craft. It was purchased by Cox from Max Mehl on Jan 2, 1958 for $50 and "slabbed" for $4.75.
Talk about an old holder. I'm sure PCGS would consider a cross but I figure it should be saved as is.
lkeigwin - That is impressive. If I were fortunate to own something like that it would indeed stay like it is. Doesn't always need to be about what someone else says about the coin. I know, not the right place for a comment like this.

Took me several years to find one with this look. "Common" low grade and I really like it. Thought I'd also bump this in case any new folks are interested as it's a very educational thread, with great contributions by many of the experts. If you like this kinda stuff. And also if others have picked up any through the years.

Here is an example of the inverted 5 vareity. I bought this one a few years ago from a well known specialist. It wasn't cheap. It looks much better in person. I can't capture the blue toning and luster that are on this piece in a photograph. The grade is a conservative PCGS AU-53.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

lkeigwin, I always can spot an old friend. That bearded lady. When I owned it many years ago it was, and stayed in an Anacs holder.
Stman, did you own every single 1807 at one time?
It seems like many of the 1807's posted in this thread passed through your hands at one time or another.
For years the 1807 is mainly what I chased down. I didn't own them all, but a heck of a lot of them. I still like them. And that is what I studied for years.

I bought it at a HA auction a couple of years ago. NGC VF20. PCGS called it F15. I guess she slept around.
Lance.
OK, I think you might have posted this in another thread and I commented, sorry. These used to be my babies so I never forget one. It was Anacs VF-20 when I had it. Yeah, she be a hoe.

1807 small stars O-113a
Here is an O.112 and an O.114.
Lance.
<< <i>I like that 0-112 Lance. That would work for me if you ever wish to part ways with it. >>
If you are only doing a date set, you definitely want the O-112. It is much more readily available, simply no comparison to the Small & Large Stars.

Anyone have a Bearded Lady to show off? Not me.

All great pieces!!

Here are a few 1807's I added recently.
The first is notable. The Bearded Goddess (O.111b). This is about the highest grade I can afford. LOL.
The second is a higher grade small stars (O.113a). I kept the one posted earlier because I like its eye appeal.
And the third is another 50/20 (O.112), double-struck.
Very nice 1807's everyone!

Holy smokes, a double struck 1807 CBH? You know what I got to say about it, but I won't. But.......

Just curious, stman, which 1807 CBH die marriage is your favorite....and why?
