    stman,

Any chance you can repost or fix the pictures in your original first post in this thread? The pictures don't show anymore and that is an informative and valuable post.

    Thanks in advance!

Done. I switched my ISP and they went away. That was a lot of work finding everything. I believe I have the same ones up in the right order as when I originally posted this thread. Enjoy!

Very nice small stars, stman! I'm still looking for one.

Here is an O.112 and an O.114.

I like that 0-112 Lance. That would work for me if you ever wish to part ways with it.

If you are only doing a date set, you definitely want the O-112. It is much more readily available, simply no comparison to the Small & Large Stars.

Quite the catch, Lance. What a beauty!

I appreciate seeing Dave's specimens, as well.

Bump in case there are any new Bust half collectors, or anybody wants to add anything. Now about 10 years later.

Here's another large stars variety, the O.114.

I picked this up at the winter FUN show through Sheridan Downey. The coin was part of the R.E. Cox collection that was auctioned-off by Stacks in 1962.

This is one of two known that retains Cox's custom sturdy cardboard holder made by Art Craft. It was purchased by Cox from Max Mehl on Jan 2, 1958 for $50 and "slabbed" for $4.75.

Talk about an old holder. I'm sure PCGS would consider a cross but I figure it should be saved as is.

lkeigwin - That is impressive. If I were fortunate to own something like that it would indeed stay like it is. Doesn't always need to be about what someone else says about the coin. image I know, not the right place for a comment like this.

Took me several years to find one with this look. "Common" low grade and I really like it. Thought I'd also bump this in case any new folks are interested as it's a very educational thread, with great contributions by many of the experts. If you like this kinda stuff. And also if others have picked up any through the years.

    All great pieces!!

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Here is an example of the inverted 5 vareity. I bought this one a few years ago from a well known specialist. It wasn't cheap. It looks much better in person. I can't capture the blue toning and luster that are on this piece in a photograph. The grade is a conservative PCGS AU-53.

lkeigwin, I always can spot an old friend. That bearded lady. When I owned it many years ago it was, and stayed in an Anacs holder.

Stman, did you own every single 1807 at one time? ;)

It seems like many of the 1807's posted in this thread passed through your hands at one time or another.

For years the 1807 is mainly what I chased down. I didn't own them all, but a heck of a lot of them. I still like them. And that is what I studied for years.

I bought it at a HA auction a couple of years ago. NGC VF20. PCGS called it F15. I guess she slept around.
