My annual freebie just got accepted in Newport Beach this morning at 8:08am.
The suspense starts as I wait for the results on these cards:
1) T205 Herman Schaefer (PSA 3 or 4) -- purchased in a Montana sports card shop a few summers ago for my Senators/Twins type collection. 2) 1962 Topps # 141 Babe Ruth Special - The Twilight Years (PSA 6 or 7 -- well centered card with some weak corners on back); bought this card in the mid-60s from the Card Collectors Company 3) 1966 Topps #50 Mickey Mantle (PSA 4? -- wrinkles on front) - from pack purchase as a kid 4) 1966 Topps #300 Bob Clemente (PSA 7 or 8 -- best card of the lot) - from pack purchase as a kid 5) 1968 Topps #280 Mickey Mantle (PSA 6 or 7) - from pack purchase as a kid 6) 1968 Topps #490 Super Stars - Killebrew/Mays/Mantle (PSA 6 or 7) - from pack purchase as a kid
Got my results back. I was most disappointed in the '66 Clemente grade. I thought it might be a 7 at least. The '66 Mick was too creased -- probably should have subbed a different card.
I was real happy with the T205 and the other two 7s...
