Could someone help me with some French 2 Franc information?

I am looking to put together a complete set of early French 2 Franc coins with the classic sower design. I believe that would involve the following dates (but I'm not sure, and don't have the book). Would this constitute a complete run, or am I missing something? And do I have the start and end dates correctly?

1898
1899
1900 ---Key (just making notes as we go along)
1905
1908
1910
1912
1914
1914C
1915
1916
1917
1918
1919
1920 --Edited to add

Also, if anyone has any comments about what might be a challenge, or anything in general about such a series, I'd love to hear it.

Thanks,

Clankeye

1920 also. The 1900 is the key date in the series.

    Thanks, Don!

I got a nice trio from David Lawrence this week (14, 16, and 17) and they are just beautiful. Nice satin luster. It has rekindled my collecting interest--which makes me happy. Whenever I lose my connection with coins I feel kind of adrift. I need my hobby.

What is your collecting focus these days, Don? What's keeping the motor running?

Finished all the Canadian date sets so I have moved on to Maundy Sets.

As to what keeps my motor running, that is between me and my pharmacist.

Not at all. I love the chase. The sets are for sale. Either by set, or individual coins.

I've decided I'm kind of a "catch and release" collector. I like the hunt.

I agree. It's refreshing and ownership does not become an obsession. Good luck in your new hunt Carl.

Thanks, Dimitri. Yes, "possession obsession." I try not to get caught up in that. But, there are powerful forces at work sometimes when the shiny coin whispers in the ear. image

I'm still holding out that one day, coinkat, I might have that special little collection to pull out for the grandkids. But, I'd have to catch a few grandkids first I guess.

What's the liquidity? Is there a strong after market?

    Athealred would probably take them.....

You'd probably have to throw in a few lollies, ice creams & toys.
