Problem with a dealer. I will update you all when I am able to. Thanks!

what would you do if you bought this ANACS AG3 and you were told it had Absolutely NO scratches or digs and then were refused a refund?

They are getting dibs on first page
<< <i>...the ones I saw were. I missed another sale on that coin whereby I could have gotten more... >>
Then ask him to take it back and sell it to the other buyer; IF there ever was one.
<< <i>stman canned response >>
Before I comment I need to know if the seller is a "respected" board member. It DOES matter ya know!!
And if that doesn't work, if he's an ANA member, file a grievance.

It didn't sell on eBay. Nevertheless, the feedback and his responses to it would have given me pause to think, most likely.
I mean, wouldn't that be the next step since this guy told you to go pound sand?

It was not sold on eBay.
Maybe because it was lame? Nah, that would be too obvious. There must be some sinister plot brewing...

Then go for 2 out of 3
Of course!! Damn, I wish I had spotted it earlier.....
Naw, doesn't matter to me. The guy's negatives seem unprofessional to me. And having below %99 pos is bad. He is going back on a deal so is obviously not a man of his word. I'll call it that way regardless if he is a board member or not.
I sure hope he rethinks his position. Who wants to be known as a guy who can't keep his word? Anyway I'd like to know if he does take a table at show.. Anybody?

This dealer is a jagoff (saw that word here recently for the first time since leaving Pittsburgh at age 18
He is a liar. This statement alone says it. Name one dealer (or anyone for that matter) who will not buy a coin back if they can get more for it? My guess is that he had it for some time and deecided to unload it. JMHO. Bob
<< <i> My guess is that he had it for some time and deecided to unload it. >>
Yeah, it's called sticking it to you.
Check?
Paypal?
Credit card?
Reverse the charges...
then when he screams, send it back ...
You have choices as long as you did not send cash..
You have emails saying he would honor the return and those can be used to present your position to your credit card company.
Even if you paid by paypal and they won't reverse it, go staright to the bank issuing the card and they will pull the rug out from under paypal, pay pal will then reverse it on their side to get their money back..
This works. I have done it once when paypay wouldn't make a move..
John
Lustig and Mrearlygold if you have something to say, post it. Or if it's so great, why don't you buy it from me Andy since apparently you initially thought I should keep it.
I forgot.....it's taboo around here to associate a dealer with anything negative. We collectors are supposed to take this sort of crap, right?
Fletcher,
Don't get me started with your BS. I can't believe you are STILL whining.

Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. Funny how when you complain about a crappy transaction with dealer that isn't a regular here everyone jumps on the bandwagon with you. And, when you complain about a crappy transaction with a dealer that everyone knows, the weak minded masses try to turn it around and make it the buyers fault. I love the hipocrisy.
I thought you were leaving YET AGAIN. You should have learned the last time you tried to dance with me that I bite.
Now pissoff before you make even more of an ass of yourself.....if that's possible.

I've wondered this myself. Please lemme know what ya find out on this.

Goose - I never suggested that you keep the coin. You asked what WE would do. I said that I would back off and take a short loss because it's not worth getting into a pissing contest over a small loss. However, if you had asked what we thought YOU should do, I would have advised you to rage on, since you seem to live for this cra*p.

How is it this ass-clown didn't see those stable scratches???
BLOCKED!!!
I live for it.
What I live for is to be treated properly in a transaction and to not have someone(whether a dealer or collector) not try and pull stuff like this on me.
I guess it's too much to expect a bit of honesty and for someone's word to actually mean something these days.
I don't take kindly to being treated otherwise.
I guess I should just eliminate coins and start handing out money to people if they wish to lie to me and go back on their word. That'd be simple I'm sure.
yep, smart a$$ remarks in feedback means an instant NO DEAL for me.

Been there, done that--Like our ex Prez sez " I feel your pain"
Then spend your time and energy seeking out people who will treat you properly and stick with them. Every moment spent agonizing over your disappointments will only distract you from "what you live for". Right?
