The strike detail on the reverse is superb and those couple of small ticks on the front dress are about the only imperfections i can see on that coin. The rims are perfect as well. IMO that 67 grade is dead on nuts for this coin. Now onto the toning, The obverse is sweet but the reverse is the real money shot!
I've seen my fair share of NGC MS67 seated dimes and the majority have not met my standards...to the point where I will rarely look at them unless they have really nice color. The last one I had was an 1875-s with lovely bulls eye toning....and lots of hits. Even though it was pop 1 I couldn't even see it as a PQ66 and flipped it to a forum dealer who knew exactly what he would be getting.
This one here has geat appeal. More than likely it will have some chatter that is typical with NGC 67's. But it will always find a nice home at a strong price because of the outstanding color. I'd like a set of dimes looking like that.
<< <i>It's a great coin, but a 67? You got very lucky.

Unless the marks to the right of Liberty are toning, and not chatter (as I perceived them to be), I'm willing to debate this all night. Theres also a couple luster grazes on Liberty's face, below her foot, and a couple other places.
The coin has killer luster, and great eye appeal, but I really couldn't see it higher than a 66.
I've dealt with similar coins and I'm usually pretty good with seated material. Heck, I had an NGC MS66 Trade Dollar a couple years back with almost identical luster but with fewer marks.
I'm not trying to be a dick. THe coin is an awesome piece and worthy of some serious $$$. I just dont think MS67* was the right grade.

No, I don't think so either... it may not have made it's way into a PCGS 67 holder, but that's only because they are so tight right now and frankly, I think they are afraid of grading some heavily toned coins that high. BTW, that has come up before as being a myth, but I really think they do have problems with giving high grades to coins toned heavily.

Couldn't agree more, it's no myth.
Absolutely stunning coin, I can see it as a 67 all day long. Don't want to debate it though, after all we're grading a pic and not a coin.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.
