HonoluluDude and Gemineye are some of the best I've seen on here for consistent grading.

I was going to say "291fifth," until I saw who asked the question. For circulated 19th Century silver type coins, I'd have you grade them.

As much as it pains me to say it, I'd have to vote for that damn roadrunner. Why? Well, turnaround times would be much faster.

Boiler78 and Rick Kay - we have similar tastes re: eye appeal in addition to the technical grade.

I'd like 291 fifth to grade them and then price them according to the grades. Veerrrrrrrry conservatively!

If it were the same person grading AND selling, then whoever undgrades the most image

If it were for someone grading to help me in my purchase....Coinguy1 as mentioned by others. Also, if for moderns, Russ.

Classic commems in silver, I would want myself. I've been collecting them for decades, seen more of them that one can imagine and have read all of the major books on them.

Correspondence with MrHalfDime recently had me using terms like "Brian Greer/Steve Crain" VF-35 to describe what most would call XF to XF-45. I think many of those that specialize in bust half dimes tend to be conservative graders of their coins, so folks like MrHalfDime, Cladiator, JrGman 2004 -- I expect their grades to be conservative and right on. I don't buy much else except for stuff for my type set and have been quite pleased with a purchase of a seated half some time ago from bgrice. So pleased in fact that the other two seated halves in my collection will be traded out when I can find coins to match the one he sent me! Of course, I would be remiss if I did not mention coinguy1. I got a flying eagle from him for my type set. I love it.

If I think more, I would come up with more, so I will shut up for now.

No one has mentioned Rick Snow (EagleEye) for Indians and Flying Eagles. I'll add SaintGuru for $20 Saints.

The people that I don't want are those that keep guessing MS65 on coins in MS63 holders image.
(Confession time, I recently guessed 67 on a coin in a 64* holder).

Some of these folks mentioned in earlier threads are well respected and extremely knowledgeable, especially in thier areas of study, but are not the best graders across the board!!

Cameron is the only board member that is currently a professional grader that I'm aware of. Are there others? Coinguy1 (Mark Feld) is a former NGC professional grader. Are there any other board members who were formerly professional graders?

I have no idea. It would seem there are a lot of experts who are regulars on this forum. I would have to say anyone who gives a grade that I can agree to. I will buy a coin for what I think it is worth based on a consenus gread between the seller and myself and if someone over grades it and charges more than I think it is worth then I will pass.
