1979 O Pee Chee Hockey Fans

Hello everyone. For those that are collecting the 1979 OPC set I see that DSL has put a bunch of AWESOME cards up for sale. It is too bad that they do not take credit cards because this one set I would love to start with this batch. Here is a link to the PSA 10 Hull!!!

Yes, those are some amazing cards. The Hull is outstanding (though fortunately I can live with my PSA 9). The Whalers logo card is what interests me.

Its a great set and I am really enjoying building it. I hope more people jump in on this set. JUST DONT GO AFTER WHAT I NEED TO FINISH MY SET!!! (lol)

I would assume that if this Gretzky rookie was a candidate for a PSA 9 it would have been sent in. The scan isn't great but it that card looks pretty high end. The old flip kinda sorta makes you wonder.

Edited to say that the upper right corner might be a little touched.

Man, most of those '79s went CHEAP. Except for a couple, they all went for between $9-$16. I guess more 9s are coming avaliable so as to not sell high due to bidding wars.

I FORGOT about the Whalers card auction! It only went for $11.50.

You also have to factor in 2 big points, it was a DSL auction and they cut off over half of the hockey card market by not shipping to Canada and also anyone from the US that only buys if paypal is accepted.

Man, I wish I had paid attention to those auctions. I know there's a lot more 9's waiting to be submitted, but those seem like pretty good buys on graded mint '79s.

It was a GAI-graded pack that I bought off ebay. A well-deserved grade it looks like!

Here are some of the gems from my recent sub, pulled these cards from a '79 OPC pack I busted. Love those rough cuts!

There are only 21 PSA 10's from the entire set out of 3526 graded, tough cards!

I have a hard time accepting a rough cut PSA 9. I didn't know you could get a rough cut 10!

Phenomenal luck, BS! Take those 10's straight to eBay before grade inflation renders them worthless.
