Received a welcome back package from far, far away

One of our own sent me a packet of coins to help me start my Darkside collection over.

Here are quick pics of two of the coins. A nicely toned 1919 Sower, and a roll-fresh Swiss 1 Franc. Both two design favorites of mine.

He has my sincere thanks. It means a lot to me. image

Pretty coins, yes? Perhaps he will post to this thread and explain being so generous in a wicked, wicked world.

    Fair question. I guess the best I can say is, that I finished some sets I had been working on, had a few odds and ends coins lying around, and I just wanted to sell it all and start over.

    Since then it has kind of rekindled my interest in coins to be honest.

    It was refreshing to clear the slate and just start all over again. New avenues to explore, strange lands to conquer and all.

    Before today I had two Darkside coins. A 1916 Italian 2 Lire, and a 1921 Philippine 50 centavo.

    Thanks to this forum member I now have 7. image

    Sorry for the dead post.

    I won a nice set of coins from Dimitri in his last giveaway two weeks ago (I think). I received them and was really surprised how nice they were! I guess there are so many nice people you just don't realize are there.
