My understanding is that the area won't have power for several weeks.

I assume that Heritage might have a news release forthcoming about this subject matter since they have a huge auction coming up.

Never thought about this until you mentioned it. Could be they might change the auction date. I know if I were a consignor I'd be on pins and needles.

The State is in need of some recovery time.

Just talked to Heritage...it's a go

Tom...thanks for the link.....two of the houses pictured are my neighbors homes.
The yellow house with part of the roof missing was over a young boys room, which he was doing homework in. His mother had just called him to come down stairs because it was getting pretty bad outside and minutes later the roof came off.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Wilma we have been closely monitoring the recovery of the Palm Beach area from the storm damage in order to determine if the Convention Center and hotels would be back in business by next week.

We have been in contact today with the West Palm Beach Convention Center manager and the people at the Marriott Hotel across the street from the convention center. As of yesterday both places have electricity and we have been told that they will be fully operational today or tomorrow.

As with any kind of natural disaster involving millions of people, the initial information can be sketchy and sometimes misleading and can change from hour to hour. At this point the show and the auction are a go and we at Heritage feel comfortable that everything in Palm Beach will be fine. Should this change we will notify all of you immediately.

We appreciate your patience and understanding and if for some reason you are unable to attend the show in person, please call us to arrange for live phone bidding. Toll Free Direct Customer Service: 1-866-835-3243

Not to be crass, but aren't most of the bids done online, rather than in person? And if it is "iffy", wouldn't dealers just post online bids?
