As a goodwill gesture, you should give away a few coins, ya know, as a "I'm really a good guy giveaway". Just start a new thread, and have people throw their names in the hat. Pick say ummmmm........ 50 names at random, and they'd win. One of the coins can even be that half that started all of this.
My humble '63 mint registry set, not much, but it's mine!
I am not sure what I am going to do with that coin but maybe a coin giveaway is a good idea... But I am not going to give away too much now... maybe something secret but small...

With everlasting gratitude to Eva Cassidy for enriching our lives.
Nick, I understand both sides (yours as a seller and any "JOE consumer"), the popcorn is an imaginary snack others can munch on while they watch the show, (others who read the post get to be entertained by the passion and emotion that comes out here)... but, in the name of Numismatics, I can tell you, most of us are just trying to protect the integrity of our industry. The lesson here is simple:
You list lots of coins, it's true.... but if you take the pictures or see the coins, and then re-list them after giving a refund, knowing there is a problem, then there is a problem (checks and balances in your system), it would be wise on on the seller's part that if a refund is necessary, to find out why before putting such coins BACK in the marketplace, (checks and balances in your system) and if they are placed there they ought to be placed with FULL disclosure. I sell some junk once in a while, too. (okay, common dates and what others call "modern crap")... almost all of them are gradeable, problem free, though. I say this, because even though I am new to the forum (aug05), Russ happens to share my view with this one. He is knowledgable, honest and funny, and most of all a member of an elite society (all of us are as well as you, now). We are in it together and any time a problem coin gets passed in the market, numismatists (collectors, dealers, traders and the likes) get hurt. A level of trust between BUYER and SELLER gets broken, not to mention us oldtimers get cranky when we get took by a young buck . I'm glad you showed up in the forum and I commend you for defending yourself. Any criticism can be a stumbling block or a stepping stone. It's all a choice.
Everything has indeed been worked out with the coin I have not yet decided what I am going to do with it .. Probably sell start it at a buck ans say it is junk see where it goes...
<< <i>Some of my pictures are not the greatest.. I am sorry for that but you have to understand that I have taken 75,000 + pictures in the last 6 months and sometimes they just do not come out right.. I tried taking better pictures ogf this coin with better lighting and they do look better.. >>
75,000 pictures in six months is over 400 a day. Anybody doing that much photography should become very proficient.
I just re-read this entire thread from start to finish and I must say I've never seen one quite like it in the entire time I've been on these forums. Hey Nick, if you're going to the Santa Clara Expo next month we should hook up and get some lunch of something...bring the coin too haha

<< <i>Congratulations! Not only have you proven yourself to be a scumbag seller, you have also insulted the largest, most active, and most informed online coin community. This should help your ebay tremendously. Good show! >>

I'm not sure if you meant "winners" or "whiners," but I'm leaning to whiners. You'll be persona non grata pretty quick here!
