I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

My childhood keepsake and the "pride and joy" of my YN collection. Acquired on my 13th birthday, December 28, 1978.

    (Still have it, of course.)

Wow, folks. We're not talking UAR dirhems or North Korean won or Lundy puffins, here.

We're talkin' freakin' Bust halves. Sheesh! I thought you Litesiders had plenty of those in your sock drawers!

    OK, reset button.

    image

Maybe we can go Classic Head cents next, if somebody plays 1810... or half cents, or somethin' interesting. (Not that Bust halves aren't.)

1810 or Bust half to the next player. Onward!

    Well played, MsM!

There's an interesting transition I didn't see coming.

So I guess it's 1817, 2008, or Prez buck now.

Ah, so it does. You have a triple wildcard, then!

I never thought about this angle to the Prez bux.

Of course Prez bux didn't exist when I launched this thread.

The warning to "dialuppers" in the title also gives some indication of how old this game is.

How about 1852 or Seated dime OR any dated love token, to the next player.

Why would you say that? Isn't the First Spouse piece of the Seated Liberty Design?

I think we should be at any Seated Series Dime, or any 1883 dated coin.

    1. If the last coin posted was a regular-issue U.S. coin, you have to post a coin of the same date OR the same type (NOT just the same denomination). *

Though the Spouse coin indeed had the Seated Liberty design on it, it was an invalid play, as it was a different type.

It was supposed to be 1883 or Seated dime.

Bailey's 1883 Libnick put us back on track, though, so now it seems we're at 1887 or Liberty nickel.

My bad in assuming that "type" actually means "denomination".

Whoops- sorry I spelled your name wrong, Baley.

We have a dog named Bailey (with the "I"), so I'm used to typing it that way.

Aha! It was the autocorrect feature on my tablet that did it! Just now I typed your name correctly, without the "I", and the tablet changed it!

    But anyway, play on, folks.

Sure has been some nice stuff posted.

At risk of becoming tiresome, I shall dip once again into my old Seated dime love token date set, if only because the 1883 coin I had was one of my favorites.
