Opinions on the 1807 Bust Half?

I picked this up a few weeks ago from a local dealer. Just sent into PCGS under a freebie what do you think they will grade it?

I have my opinion as to grade, but would like to hear yours?

VF20-25. You have better pics, Jim?

Looks VF-ish to me. I really like the overall original appearance of the coin. Nice image

Nice looking original coin. Looks like a VF-20 but hard to tell from your pics.

    VF-20.

The reverse looks weaker than that, but many 1807 Bust Left half dollars were shallow strikes and were weak on the details.

It looks like a nice original early coin that should bring a minor primium for the VF grade.

From those small pics, I'd venture a VF20. Nice coin.

That's a sweet coin! I had an 1807 bustie grade F12 with a slightly stronger reverse, but less detail on the obv. my guess is pcgs grades it vf20. would you mind shooting me a pm and letting me know how much you paid for it? good luck on the submission.
  • Nice 1807 Draped Bust--better obverse than a lot of '07s. I'd say VF20.

Beautiful coin, VF 20-25. Shot at 30, downside is Fine-15.

    Here's a PCGS Fine-15, this one an Overton 102:

Variety can make a difference. IMO, this one is also a Fine:

This 1807 O.115 is graded by NGC as VF20

    Thanks Yall,

I wish I had bigger pic's but If I increase the size, I lose definiton. I will have to take original pictures again from the coin to get the size up and keep the pixel count below 50. The coin is at PCGS so I cant now. My opinion is I thought the coin would grade vf-20, worst case F-15? I actually tried to sell it via e-bay raw with absolutley no takers? so I felt if holdered it would be easier to sell.

If you were to spend time around here locally, very rarely does something this original come through and thats partly the reason I picked it up for re-sell.
