I'm still not convinced anything existed before 1973, but if it did, the 50s sound like a pretty cool decade to have lived through (or still be living in as the case may be).
Woo hoo, cool giveaway, count me in please. This place is great, I pick up quite a bit about coins, it's like one big family. Even my family gets in arguments around the dinner table at Thanksgiving.
My humble '63 mint registry set, not much, but it's mine!
Thanks for the oportunity! Glad to have the oportunity to rub elbows with the people on this forum.

Ah! The 50's! You are talking about me. 50th Class Reunion in 2007.
A friend I used to work with had a gas station in Portland, Oregon. Someone came in and showed him his new Import car. All he had to do was buy one for $2000 he could have the NW distributorship for this new car on the market.
He thought the guy was crazy! No way would it sell. No one in their right mind would buy a 1957 Volkswagen!
The 50's carried me into this joint. As far as this place- I think there are all kinds here, and that's a good thing. We got our grumps, our wise a$$es, our complete jerks, our...hey ...WHY DO I like it here.....because of people like you Lucy. I have coins coming out my wazoo,,, so if I win a coin- give it to a YN for me, anything else I want as long as you sign it for me----
