Opinions on the color of this Morgan

Just pulled this Morgan out of an old paper flip that it has been resting in for a couple of decades. Is this desirable toning? Base color is yellow/gold with nice almost pastel blues.

The toning looks natural, but it's not the kind of toning that will prompt the toning people to do handsprings over it and pay a huge price. You might get a small premium, but not a big one.

I'd say the eye appeal is just slightly positive. As Bill noted, perhaps a small premium.

I like it!!!!!!! but its not monster toning.

I like it, very nice pic too. I have bought some mild toners that I am very happy with and I did pay a slight premium.

The toning people aren't going to care I'd think. But there is a premium IMHO because there is a growing group of collectors searching for nice original unmessed-with coins. I'd guess 10-20% premium over whatever its' accurate grade turns out to be. Unfortunately I had an MS-65 1878S Morgan with very similar toning/history but PCGS returned it as "questionable toning" so I had to dip it (thought it was a shot 66) since it wasn't worth sending in a dozen times to get it holdered. So you might just keep it in a new (non PVC) flip or your album, rarther than shell out $ to PCGS.

Regardless it has nice NT toning and eye appeal--a nice example for your collection.
