-Converse with family (for a change).

    They're all dead.

    -Clean out the garage.

    Don't have one.

    -Clean house.

    Do that daily.

    -Put "Christmas" away.

    Done long ago.

-Change the oil in the cars.

    Jiffy Lube.

    -Defrag the computer.

    Not needed.

    -Shampoo the carpet.

    Done recently.

    -Do your taxes.

    Already done.

-Give the pets a flea dip.

She's allergic to dip, have to use those little tube things. Good for 30 days, done a week ago.

    -Watch TV.

    No TV at work.

    -Update your coin inventory.

    Do that daily.

-Check for VAMs or coin errors.

    Too confusing.

    -Practice your coin photography.

Already do that all the time, anyway.

    -Experiment with "toning methods".

    Wouldn't have a clue how.

-Give your pet coins a dip.

    Already on the schedule.

    -Buy coins on eBay.

FINALLY! An idea I can sink my teeth in to!

But, then I'd get in trouble for getting to work late. I'm already on thin ice for screwing around here so much.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

That would be a short visit.

(Note for those who may not get the reference: There's a show on Saturday that'll have about seven tables of the same material that's been hauled around and pawed over for years).

Part of the problem is that there is no such time as 12 PM or 12 AM. There is only twelve noon
and twelve midnight. Twelve noon occurs in the middle of the day and twelve midnight occurs
    between two days
. So the question becomes will the site be down from time to time for five
    hours or for seventeen hours.

It still astounds me that we have not sat down and agreed to some sort of definitions to solve
this problem. How much advertising has been wasted to promote something at midnight Thurs-
day just to have half the audience tune in a day late or a day early. How much labor and effort
have been wasted and how many lives changed because people aren't on the same page.

So how long will we be down?

Very good point. And it seems to happen on the internet with increasing frequency. My latest before this was Superior's deadline of 3/30/05 at 12pm for absentee bidding. Never figured out which it was, but got my bids in by noon. Tried after that to raise one, it went fine. Tried after midnight last night, went fine. Now it finally says absentee bidding closed. So, I agree, is it noon or midnight on Sunday? I'll be golfing at noon, but by midnight I'm gonna want my fair share of abuse.
