Please grade my new Large Cent

GeomanGeoman Posts: 2,491 ✭✭✭
I have really taken an interest in Large Cents the past 2 months. And I have started a collection, which I am looking for nice VF or so, chocolate brown, circulated cents. But I am having a tough time grading these. My mind keeps thinking Barber, as you use the "Liberty" on Barber coinage for grading circulated examples. But with Large Cents, you don't use the "Liberty" as much.

I posted a coin I recently purchased, and would like your opinion of the grade. Thanks in advance. image

VF-30 for detail, but net graded lower due to the black spots.
  • VF-30.

I would go for XF-40 details, but net VF for corrosion.

Sharpness grade, VF-25. BUT it's been lightly wiped and there are corrosion spots. That would net it back to Fine IMO.
