Yowch. Looks like an expensive grading lesson. What kind of grades were you looking for?

WOW, for that kind of money I could have went to the bank and bought 1,039 rolls of pennies or 51,900 pennies.image

Or, 10+ bank bags of pennies!

    Hedgehog, yes.

Relayer, that's pretty rough. Congrats on the 67 Washington, condolences on the others.

I'm sorry, but I actually laughed out loud when I saw this. It's pretty funny, but I realize it's pretty sad at the same time because I'm sure you thought you'd have a different outcome. I'm always a bit gunshy when submitting coins because I'm afraid that the grader will not think the coin is as nice as I (or others) think it is. I've had that lesson handed to me most of the times I've submitted coins. Yes...I'm learning some valuable lessons, but, man, can it be painful!
  • Thats more then $75 worth of coins in those slabs.

Sorry about the bad submisson results.
When were your coins received at PCGS? I have a modern CAM/DCAM 1968-s 1969-s proof submisson that was received at PCGS on1/04/05.......Looking at your results makes me VERY afraid of what my results might be.

I have some in for grading from that time period too, but I went through and held back about 2/3 of what I initially thought was worth submitting. I figured I was better off being tough on the coins up front than paying PCGS $14 or $18 per coin to be tough on them for me.
