Is it fake? real? Vote and state reasons why you think it's genuine or fake/counterfeit. Note that this is not my coin. It was sent to me via email by someone who wants to know if it's genuine.
Yes, it has the twin leaf ornamentation around the rims.
I personally think it's fairly obvious but it's still an educational topic.

I mentioned earlier that this isn't ours. It was sent to me via email by someone wondering if it was real or not.
<< <i>I voted real because you are playin with snakes coins.

Determinations of authenticity, according to the excellent PCGS guide, are best done by knowing what a genuine piece looks like. Short of actually knowing that , and knowing that many, many copies of the Continental dollar are out there, the amateur authenticator can safely assume, from the beginning, that any single one that he or she might encounter is most likely a casting.
Bubbles can easily be seen on the surfaces of this particular copy.
Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.-Albert Einstein
Probably made in China, with the rest of the phoney dollars.

When I buy my fake, it will be a heckuva lot nicer than that ugly POS.
Looks fake to me. Just a gut feeling.
