"Luck is what happens when Preparation meets Opportunity"
It's getting close, we should try to agree on a time and place to meet. I think Stuart is trying to avoid me. I've missed him at a couple of recent shows.
If the Mullet Man has a table there this year, I propose we meet around his table at 11:00 Saturday. He has been good about tolerating the Riff-Raff in the past. We should also bombard TBT's table during the show to convince him he needs more help so he'll bring IdahoGal next year to help him work his table.

Hi Louis: No, I'm not trying to avoid you. I'm hoping to meet you and many other forum members on Saturday at the Money Show.
If we meet one another at this upcoming show, and you don't hear from me on the forum, or see me for a few months, then you'll know that I'm trying to avoid you...

She will be at a show in Salt Lake City this coming weekend. Catch her at Long Beach and maybe Baltimore.
Mop head does have a table but everyone is welcome at ours also.
Lincolncentman and his wife will be using a case at our table Friday to Sunday. This will be his first larger show setup so please stop by and welcome him to the wannabe ranks.

don't tell Legend- she will be at the show from what I have read..
Yah, I hear you. You'd think they'd figure out that the real dealers think dirt of them. Luckily for them, most of the real dealers are old as dirt and in about ten years, much of the competition will be pushing up the daisies.
don't tell Legend- she will be at the show from what I have read..
Laura is welcome. I've never done anything to push her buttons. She's entitled to her opinions. However, everyone's got to start somewhere. I've paid my taxes for the past two years, and my inventory value has doubled each of those years. I may just be a "wanna be" dealer in some people's eyes, but everyone's got to start somewhere. Some people choose to try to make something of their lives. Others have excuses. I will say that there is a small precentage of population in our country that really cant do much about their economic standings... but it's certainly a small percentage.
LincolnCentMan, I know this is an obvious question but none the less can you share some insight into what we might see in your case at the upcoming show. Inquiring minds want to know.

Just a wanna-be's junky inventory. I've got a number of early MS lincolns, a few odds and ends, a few keys. Highlights include a few SVDB's, a 16-D merc PCGS F15, PCGS 93-S dollar VF30. I had a nice MS three legged buff, but a dude talked me out of it this weekend.
As it stands this morning i have what appears to be about 6-9 folks for the lunchy thing. I'm going to try and get a table set up for the group to enjoy one anothers company, my only concern is that it does not turn into a John Belushi movie......FOOD FIGHT.........
We are leaving for the show in a few hours. Another painful 20+ hour drive.
Our table number is 432 (under Jade Rare Coin). Corner table I think. Andy is already down South hitting all of the coin shops. Jessica and I are leaving soon to be there for Thursday set-up.
Here's our full show schedule. We may add a show or two, but this mostly covers covers the next few months of our schedule. Stop by a show near you and say "hi" or "howdy", depending on where you live.
I will be leaving Thursday morning from New Orleans to drive to Houston. I have family there so I can kill two birds with on e stone. Catch a coin show and visit my in-laws. I hope to see some of you there. Where and when are you meeting?
What is sad about a 20 hour car ride with Jessica? That would be awesome in my opinion.
Jessica is not the problem. It's sitting over 20 hours in any car. Jessica is a good friend and a good travel companion. She doesn't like my driving so she drove 75% of the way to and from Ft. Lauderdale. That was a looooong ride.
I think I can probably make that time frame. Looking forward to seing some of you guys again and meeting a few for the first time.
"Lenin is certainly right. There is no subtler or more severe means of overturning the existing basis of society(destroy capitalism) than to debauch the currency. The process engages all the hidden forces of economic law on the side of destruction, and it does it in a manner which not one man in a million is able to diagnose." I'm looking forward to seeing lots of forum members at this weekend's Houston Money Show at 11am at Jason's Table on Saturday.
One of my dealer friends will have 20 of my duplicate Morgan Dollars for Sale at his table beginning on Thursday.
Please refer to my updated BS&T thread link above for a description of those coins (sorry no pix), or PM me if you'd like more details on where to view these Morgan Dollars...

Here's an idea... How about those of us planning to meet at this weekend's Houston Money Show, post photos of ourselves on this thread so that we can easily recognize one another???
Here's my mugshot as a starter. However, I won't be this dressed up at the show

this is the morning Would like to see this stay at the top for a couple of days for the visitors of the show to post pics or comments about the show, and of course all you hellraisers that are meeting at Jason's table at 11- I'm setting up a table for what looks to be about 15 total folks- unless a few dealers want to join in for a short breather and yes I want to meet a bunch of wannabe dealers instead of those real dealers.
On my way in a few minutes! Will be set up in the morning serving as table minion for Al Adams (Goldrush Gallery). Table number unbeknowst to me at this time.
Wade and others: I just noticed that on Saturday at 11:00am Jim Bevill is giving an educational presentation at the Money Show on "Early American Silver Dollars", which sounds very interesting.
If enough of us are interested in attending that presentation, perhaps we could consider delaying our luncheon get-together until after Jim's presentation???
I've seen Jim present on Confederate Halves. He does his homework and is an interesting presenter... Please let me know what your thoughts are on this.
