Looks like 2nd Gen Holder Can't be completely sure though... you can tell if it has the alignment pins...

Looks like either a PCGS 2 or PCGS 2.5 The label appears to have a perferated border So it would have to be before PCGS 3.5 (All varieties 3.5 and later use die cut labels with smooth edges.) It has a barcode so it isn't PCGS 1, and it doesn't have the Doilie pattern so it isn't PCGS 3. I lean toward PCGS 2 because I don't see a PCGS at the top center of the label but it could be missing due to the cropping of the picture. If it is there, then it is a PCGS 2.5 Either way it dates to late 1989.

Nice looking coin but D/D 1938-D buffaloes are very common. There are several D/D repunched mint mark variations from that year.

merc beat me to the punch. most of the D/D's are common, can you tell which it is?? still a nice blazer. i remember finding XF/AU Buffalo's in change during my early collecting in 1964-5. i often wondered if they purged the vaults when they cleaned out all the Morgans for GSA Holiday.
