Just found this looking for a upgrade in my set.

    The 1953-S in MS65FBL is the Key to the Franklin set a PCGS graded FBL is worth $15,000. And they have been sold for that amount on eBay.

    that's a decoy. The actual price was 74K. They just forgot the "K" image

    That's the 2nd generation PCGS slab (just after the rattler). That said, no one in their right mind wouldn't send in a real FBL for the designation review. Something makes me think FBL was noted back then...

    PCGS began designating FBL in April '97 or so. I'm pretty sure this coin was graded before that time- I've never seen an FBL designation on the particualr generation of slab shown in the photo. I can't FBL or not from the photos.

    As is mentioned above, the price difference between an MS65 and an MS65FBL is enormous.

    Wow! That means the bid only has to go up by a factor of 202 times to reach the right level! image
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals.
