Sadly, the only type of coin which rockets in price are high grade moderns, and then they fizzle.

With all the modern rocket traffic going straight up and the huge numbers
crashing around us, it may well seem like they all go up to just crash later.
Actually though there are many "in orbit" and some will occasionally blast
    into even higher orbits.

There are still very very many moderns which are scarce and have never in-
creased at all. There are even more which have shown huge percentage
increases but are still available for a dollar or two.

High grade BU Ikes went up decades ago and have mostly just drifted since.
These seem to be getting ready for another move. Roosys have never done
too much of anything except for FB examples. Look for some impressive
gains in this area over the next few years.

There is still a growing collector base for all these coins and there will never
be enough high grade coins for everyone if this growth continues. Watch
for choice and gem coins of the dates which are tougher to start moving up.
Also watch the coins which are tough in nice MS-60 to start moving again.
The damage to the prices of many of the proofs was probably overdone. Some
of these, especially dates with big spreads in quality, will make some recovery.

It wouldn't be overly surprising to see some increases in some ultra-moderns.
There is a little more risk in this area but if you're just having fun and doing
your homework then you should be OK. Some of these are not all that common
and many are quite scarce in high grade.

It wouldn't be too surprising to see some of the profits in this area to start get-
ting plowed back into the rarities and the scarce moderns. These coins have
never really shown any strong increases. The potential is enormous.
