Is there ever a reason to check on a submission status?

It seems to me that the answer is no -- i.e., there is no reason to check on submission status.
When PCGS receives the coins, they email.
When PCGS grades the coins, they email.
When PCGS sends the coins, they email.
Checking the submission status either tells me what I already know from having read the PCGS email, or it simply tells me that the coins are being processed, which is like telling me I'm still breathing.

I've had e-mails take over a day to get to me after the grades have been poosted.

Not to worry. If aggressive refreshing crashes him, I have a backup on my server.

What would be nice is if they did it like NGC and showed what stage the coins are at.

Shhh ...
plus, Russ and I live for checking the status early and often, very often
We don't time to check for e-mails from PCGS, we are too busy checking the status of our orders.
